Played with this phone at future shop and I think I prefer the look and feel of the gsII better, might just save some money and get that instead.

jeff19 12-08-2011 07:02 PM

^ i wish lol. bought mine for $680. :okay:

I know, more than I shouldve paid. But I've been using a shittyass phone for the past 2 weeks waiting for this thing haha.

!Yaminashi 12-08-2011 07:52 PM

Damn $680!?! I still remember the days when I use to blow that much cash on phones

TypeRNammer 12-08-2011 08:04 PM

Anyone else see one of the listing on Craigslist?? That person wants $1159 for it.

Thinking it'll probably be quad core. With Super AMOLED HD = WIN :D

Picked one up today, can confirm Bell ones come unlocked.

Edit: Initial impressions, I'm used to big phones (see below), but I must say this phone is borderline too big (I know reviewers are semi-mixed on size). I do a lot of running/hiking in the summer with a phone in my shorts and this would probably be bulging out like a mofo

dam looks nice.

however the upgrade offered over nexus s just isnt enough to justify the switch (also that i got the nexus s like 2 month ago lol)

I guess ill wait for the next google phone

Yah it's just a BIT too big for me, had the gs2 before, and even though i got used to the size of that within a few days, that seemed to hit the sweet spot for me. The nexus is JUST perfect by itself, but with a case (barely-there) on, it feels oversized.

BTW the Case-mate barely there case is made for the verizon (LTE) version, so the fit is bit loose. Will probably return

Gh0stRider 12-09-2011 11:34 AM

Co worker said it doesn't take a micro sd card? :heckno:

nope

jeff19 12-09-2011 11:44 AM

no microsd slot, just like the last nexus. Which = no usb mass storage. You have to use some MTP mode, which doesnt support multi-transfers.

!Yaminashi 12-09-2011 11:45 AM

Nope, just like the Nexus S, they left out a micro SD slot :(

hongy 12-09-2011 12:21 PM

so how exactly are we suppose to transfer music and files?

gregbaker 12-09-2011 12:24 PM

Picked two today at the parker place bell in richmond for $159.
it was buy one get one free for share plans
they told me its 50% off for personal plans too

Wonder how the battery would last

USB. it just doesnt support usb mass storage. In simpler terms, you're forced to use MTP. The layout is pretty much similar to regular mass storage mode, but you can only have one transfer going on at a time. On macs, it tends to crash sometimes.

Ahhh. I thought it might have meant going back jdm phone days where I'd have to use windows media player to transfer songs.

twitchyzero 12-09-2011 01:01 PM
