haha does it seem like i was selling? IM SOO SORRY.... I totally spammed revscene with my 1 post per year lol. |
Does anyone have complaints about speaker quality on the phone? Not so much quality as volume. I've always had a top experience with the Nexus line with their speakers...Nexus One and Nexus S had superior speakers in comparison to their rival Galaxy phones. The Nexus Prime doesn't seem like it's any better for speaker volume than the SGS2... |
Do you mean earpiece or speakerphone? |

Wasnt there something about the nexus line having some sort of amp? I remember reading that somewhere on these boards |
Audio Amp DAC for headphone output |

I'm going to give Volume+ app a try but it's recommended that it be used with a non-stock ROM. |
I just got 2 unlocked galaxy nexus at parker place bell for 159 but i got it with a share plan lol |
the speakerphone volume on the galaxy nexus is noticeably quieter than the one on the gs2. Earphone quality is also not as great, but I'm not too disappointed about it. Didn't the nexus s have some Wolfsung (I think that was the name) audio chip in it or sth? |
Quieter speakerphone? Damn |

Update: So...I think it's important to take off all the protective plastics that came with the phone because SOMETIMES, they can be on top of your speaker and block the sound...I'm not saying this happened to me....but.... :okay: |

http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/2...PZh2IsB2.large Full thread here, but there was a lot of bickering till then end: [Q] What's the DAC, and how is the audio quality on this phone? - xda-developers |

Is there a stock Chinese input that allows you to write using the whole screen or do you have to install an app? |
The difference with Wolfson is that someone actually coded an interface to the DAC which allows you to directly control certain aspects of the audio including volume. However IIRC this does not affect the handsets front speaker used when talking on the phone. There may be something for the galaxy nexus but don't hold your breath on it. On the SGS2 you could increase earpiece volume slightly by changing the volume levels in the hidden menus. Doubt you would have that on the Nexus device. |
