nope, said my sensation was 33 hours average. my Gnexus today down to only 83% after 13 hours. Yesterday was down to around 48-51% but first day use after buying it

Shouldn't be possible unless you're on edge and not using the phone at all. I'm thinking the battery percentage maybe didn't refresh or something.

so many non believers just cause my phone pulled this off.. lol. anything's possible, besides even if i prove with screenshot, I could be using a 2000+mah battery or somethin. Anyway's battery is awesome, that's enough proof for myself

you guys probably use it way more than me then. I mainly use my phone to browse, music, youtube. I am mainly in open space, rarely in enclosed walls that would block the reception and have the network constantly scanning killing the battery.

Browsing and youtube will totally drain the battery fast because it keeps the screen awake and uses data. People are asking for screenshots because it shows in some detail what's happening

I'm typically at 60-65% after 14-15 hours usage on my phone. No screenshot but a picture taken with my ipod touch to prove it.

I don't youtube much, but I do the occasional website browse. I also operate on 8-10% brightness, which probably helps. Texting, google talk constitute most of the phone usage with a few phone calls thrown in daily.

That's just my usage though.

All stock 4.0.1 rom and firmware, didn't even root yet.
The idle is great, but once you start using it, the battery really drains fast.

Hey guys, can anyone help me with my wifi sleep issue?

I already set my wifi sleep policy to NEVER sleep when my screen is off, but my wifi still instantly disconnects when i turn off the screen.
Can somebody try this on their nexus:
- connect to a wifi network on your nexus
- on your pc connected to same wifi network, open up a dos box and type: ping -t <insert your nexus ip address>
- you should see a bunch of replies from pinging if your nexus screen is on

The moment i turn off my screen, the pinging says: request timed out

Anyone else notice this? I've tried multiple roms and basebands already..

is rooting the same thing as unlocking the bootloader and flashing custom rom?
any advantages to flashing to yakju aside from faster updates and google wallet? I'm assuming almost minimal battery optimization gains?
i understand the CPU/GPU are underclocked...what's the best custom ROM that provides easy and stable overclocking?

one more thing..someone mentioned I can get rid of ads in free apps by unlocking bootloader...is that just a setting thing I can access after the fact or must I need custom rom for that?

You're an idiot. Who comes into a Galaxy Nexus forum, brags about their battery life, gives some unrealistic, nearly impossible battery stats...I think it's safe to say you're mentioning stats that are probably undocumented.

I can post a screenshot of 1 day plus battery life like Mikroft did, but of course those would be rare occasions, occasions where almost always I would not have made any phone calls at all during the day.

You sit here and tell us that you have 33 hours+ on your phone (CONSISTENTLY) AND you're still making calls and using You Tube and apps!

First of all, the dude never once mentioned exact usage figures. He hasnt posted a screenshot yet so how can you come to any conclusions?

Also, from what I can see the only thing he stated is that he said "lots of browsing." LOTS is very subjective and varies person to person. What may be lots to him, may be nothing to you guys. I can easily get 35 hours out of my SGS2, but thats with very minimal usage.

So for him to say he's achieved 30 hours and then have you guys call him an idiot is a little unfair yeah?

Honestly it just seems like some of you are getting butthurt about the whole battery life thing. If he posts a screenshot and it shows nothing near 30 hours, then fine, flame him all day long.

But like I said, "LOTS of usage" is VERY subjective. For all we know, his "lots of browsing/music/youtube" could mean 10 minutes of screen on time, then leaving the phone alone for 6 hours.

I think you are confused, possibly because I wasn't clear on it...I didn't call him an idiot because he's claiming ridiculous battery life. How could that possibly affect me!? It can't..If anything, if he's getting really good battery life for real, then I can try to replicate his settings to also get that battery life.

The reason why I called him an idiot was because he claimed something that we had doubts about, called him out on it...he said he'll prove it...then said he doesn't need to prove anything...THAT is idiotic. Besides...ALL this coming from the same guy who asked where he can buy a "cell phone booster..."
