Android revolution HD is basically optimized stock so it won't have any fancy stuff.

The colour change softkey I have is built into the rom. (Manhattan)
even if I sent you the SystemUI apk, it will just confuse your phone and take away your softkeys...

The way I modded my original ones was just copying the SystemUI apk to my computer and editing the PNG files inside with Photoshop.
If you need help lemme know and I'll give you a hand or post up a tutorial here (it's not hard!)

i'm quite surprised by the lack of car/desktop dock available for this phone...nothing really from 3rd parties...the stuff from samsung for GSM version all seems to be only sold in the UK.

waiting for the 3pin dock to be made available

I'm trying to put videos on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 but it only seems to accept .avi and certain HD files. What programs do you guys use to convert your video files? I have a lot of .mkv that I'd like to throw on there and watch it on the TV.

Sorry guys but I gotta bring this up once again because it's really important to me...Restoring WhatsApp message history.

I have copied the entire WhatsApp folder from my phone prior to rooting and flashing a new Rom to my phone. Instructions say to copy that backed up "WhatsApp" folder back to your SD card prior to re-installing WhatsApp on your new Rom. Check, I did that.

WhatsApp recognizes that I have messages to be restored, says it's restoring 100 msgs even though it should be a LOT more than just 100 msgs. Then it says "Click here to update contacts" and I click it, but nothing shows up. No old messages at all. Anyone had any luck with this using their Nexus?

I'm having a slight problem with my GN (HK ver.). The top half (or more like top 1/3) of the screen is evidently brighter than the lower half. Is this normal? This is my first time using an Android so I have no idea what settings I may have on and how it works.

That's not normal as far as I know. I don't have that issue. on mine.

Urggh, that means I have to wait till summer when I go back to HK to get it looked at.


It's especially obvious in dark screens (ie. the call log).

I don't know if it's just me also, I'm not really impressed with the camera's quality and autofocus. I know it doesn't have the best camera on the market, but quality looks kind of even worse than my iPhone 3G. On top of that, having slight trouble with autofocus. I have to hold my hand really still, like REALLY still to take a picture, or else the picture comes out blurry.

I love the phone, it's fast, fun, and the screen is really big, but it does kind of make me appreciate how good Apple's customer care is, ie. just walk into an Apple store and they'll have it looked at for you, and switched it if there's anything wrong with it.

The camera's quality is definitely not as good as my Galaxy S2. However it's in no way as bad as the camera on the 3G. I find the quality acceptable. Then again I didn't buy it for the camera. I have the same problem with autofocus. The zero shutter lag is so fast that it snaps the picture before it has time to focus. I've solved this by using a 3rd party camera app. Camera Zoom FX or ProCapture are my top choices and they give enough time for the camera to focus and then snap the pic.

also I never see the H+ sign by my bars it usually switches btw 3G and H and i'm in vancouver...are there any settings for me to lock onto HSPA+? I have the 6GB/$30 plan
