Some absolutely beastly vid's getting posted. Hoping to power out 15 this week. The most i've ever done is 9, so it might be a stretch. Unfortunately the "No dropping weights" rule is going to impede my attempt, but at least it will be controlled :p Good job guys.

Tired to deadlift 405 today.

I did it. :alone:

alwayslive 06-27-2013 08:50 PM

seeing you guys doing 315 so quick and effortlessly makes me want to quit lifting..

Holy f!!! 405x3 dead lift!!!! I'm so pumped I couldn't even get home to post this haha. Previous best was last week at 365x5. That first time lifting four plates off the ground. Ohh yeah!

The reps you guys are pulling for the DL challenge is insane. Weighed myself today at 163 and it looks like I fall into the 315 DL category. Haven't pulled that in awhile but I can probably hit 2-3 reps haha.

On a side note, hit 4x205 then 2x215 today with my bench :)

you can do 70lb dumbbell press but only 135x3? unless you don't bench often

ts14 06-29-2013 09:34 AM

great lift sesh yday

squat : 315 with 3x3 ABOUT DAMN TIME I CAN SQUAT 3 PLATES WHOOOOOOOOO
bench : 275 with 3x3
deadlift : 365 with 3x3

overall happy with my new 3 plate squat, wondering what my squat max is now :fullofwin:

Keep in mind if its his first time he's been doing barbell in awhile it might take some time to adjust

Back awhile ago, I had about a 20lb difference when I transitioned from dumbbell to barbell... Shortly after that though, my numbers on the barbell skyrocketed because doing dumbbell work has such a good carry-over

A good routine to follow (not the best, but a good way to bring up your deadlift if you are plateauing), can usually include 2 heavy sets followed by 7-8 sets of triples speed pulls.

If deadlifts are extremely lagging like me, you can try doing them twice a week, in which case, maybe tone down on the speed pulls a little.

You can try doing sid vicious's program too which is included in the sticky. I believe he has you doing 2 heavy doubles followed by 1x8+ at a lower intensity for your last set.

Don't be afraid to really push yourself during the assistances.. I find that really focussing on them have really allowed me to overcome any sticky points/technical problems when i'm doing the deadlift

hal0g0dv2 06-30-2013 06:32 PM

thats a 7 btw
