295 x 4 (PR was 295 x 2)
Felt like I could do more so re-tried 3 plates. 315 x 3!

You may have seen him filming his brisk treadmill walks or his intense mobility sessions for instagram.

louie69 judging from your squat form, you quads must be pretty strong... i've been a big believer of having strong quads for raw squatting.

do you do alot of front squatting? and how's the deadlift coming along?

assistances like front squats, deficit deads, and snatch grip deads have helped me out alot. I'm hoping to hit big with deadlifts soon

For the past month i have been doing: high bar/ front squats, good morning or kang squat, high rep leg press and leg curls. I will probably keep doing these assistant work for a while. For my high bar/ front squats im doing a SUPER narrow stance and deep as i can. My ultimate goal for both is 315 for sets of 5 which i have a ways to go.

As for deadlifts i haven't touched that yet, i will probably start off super light in a few weeks. I m thinking of focusing on my conventional a lot more.

i pulled something around my ischium back in mid dec and took till end of feb to be able to squat.

I m doing more of a bodybuilding split right now to build up all the little things i neglected last year. Kinda in a rebuild mode. But the jest of my routine consist me squatting 2x a week (low bar follow by high bar or front squats after). Benching 2x a week and OHP once a week. No dl's as of yet.

Just had a great workout today. You know when you have that feeling that you were just in the zone, and you were hitting it every time... Yeahhh that was today for me.

I never pick on guys for doing low weights; everyone starts somewhere.

That being said, LOL at the guy doing 95lb bench but only half ROM. Like, the bar is about 10" above his chest before he starts pushing it back up. I almost want to say something, but it's really not my place

alwayslive 04-11-2014 05:25 PM

Maybe he only wants to do 90degree rom because anything more for that is "bad for your elbows"

should have seen my gym a few days ago lol.. this dude goes on the bench slams a plate on the bar so hard , then lifts it off, literally brings the bar down 3 inches then pushes it back up for 5 reps and then slams the weight so hard when he re racks it.. and kept doing that till he almost hit 2 plates, me and rhdmadness were cringing lol :heckno:

instantneedles 04-12-2014 07:52 PM

just want to put it out there, those that have flat feet, hammer your VMO's on the foam roller. you want to roll the inner quad by turn your thigh outward on the foamroller. It shouldn't take alot of movement for you to really feel it there cus it will hurt like a bitch.

it will help with your squatting
