I burp a lot when I work out LOL. People look @ me like wtf and slowly move away.

New PR for leg press machine and squat (rep record) feels good man! All while doing a low carb diet. I haven't seen significant weight decrease but about 5 people have said I look leaner/thinner. Maybe they're just being nice haha.

Btw halogod, i'm still doing the floorpress on my legdays (i go really heavy w/ it) and people give me the most fucked up stares. Seeing good gains, gonna lay off bench on chest days and keep at it with dumbbells for awhile. I *SHOULD* hit all my goals for strength and weight at this rate. Just wanna surpass my brother, the cricket becomes the master :troll:

I saw some guy squat 495 for 5 reps yesterday at Gold's. Depth was good (not atg).
That has to be the heaviest I've seen, yet.

How are you liking golds? My membership is up in september and I'm looking for a new gym. Trying to decide between steve nash and golds, but a lot of friends have told me golds is dirty?

Gold's in Burnaby has been awesome so far. I find it to be clean and never crowded. I use the squat racks and lifting platform primarily, which usually isn't very busy. There are tons of cardio and weight machines to keep the other people away from my stuff. :P

I agree. I've been at that Golds for about 3 years now and never had an issue with it being dirty or overly crowded. I go after work so I do sometimes get the after-work rush but overall it's good.

I use to go to Golds. Left it for the main reason of it being busy. It may not be busy anymore I don't think but thats because they lost a lot of members after Steve Nash opened; even some of their personal trainers who have been there for many years left as well. The free weights area would have a good 15-20 people during busy times. Other than that its a solid and clean gym. Way too many guidos, heat bags, etc there though. All talking on their phones and standing around, some even in jeans for fuck sakes.

Glad I left.

Was that richmond or burnaby? I'm thinking of signing up @ richmond because its a 5 min drive for me and a ton of friends go there. I hate showing upto my gym and there's someone curling or yates rowing in the single rack we have. Makes me upset.

Btw, I'm excited as hell right now, my traps are FINALLY growing :D
