!Yaminashi 05-06-2011 03:18 PM

DC5-S 05-06-2011 06:02 PM

You are all wrong.. im done with pre-workouts.. they don't do much for me. this one I find is the strongest tho cuz I always feel the tingling sensation, even tho that really doesn't help with energy or lifts lol. btw its gone now too slow guys.. only had one, cant find the other one :S

dam high volume kicked my ass today

BrRsn 05-06-2011 10:49 PM

Picked up the assault from dc5 today and went straight to the gym. Workout was absolutely insane. Dc5 told me he didn't feel an effect from it so I took two scoops and went in and was concentrated as hell. I don't know about you guys, but its not the "pump" or the increased "strength" that makes me need a PWO, its the fact that it makes me concentrate like crazy. My shoulder is absolutely fucked right now and I still got one of the best chest/tri days I've had in a long time. My weights were moving like they were on rails, straight up, straight down, perfect focus. I love it.

And dc5 you told me you've been using this stuff for awhile, try taking a few weeks off of pwo and going back on with a different brand. That might just do it for you.

whoa wtf 2 scoops. slow it down man. the recommended dosage on the label is half a scoop for moderate training and 1 full scoop for higher intensity. id follow that guide as whenever i take 1 full scoop (its the equivalent of 2 scoops of pump), im already in beast mode.

BrRsn 05-07-2011 09:34 AM

I guess stims effect me differently because I drink coffee regularly? I took 2 scoops by mistake because I thought 1 dosage = 1 scoop. At two scoops I felt fine, only problem was the stupid thing kept me awake till 2am. Still didn't feel as strong as 2 scoops of 1mr though. For my next workout I'm gonna cut back to a single scoop though, I like being able to sleep lol

k i'm a gym noob and i know it's probably been covered somewhere in the 300 pages, but i dont' think i can read through the whole thing. please be patient with me.

i'm just wondering what kind of routine/gym workout i should start out with. i have a weak lower back and because of my weight (185lbs) for being 5"9, my knees will feel the impact if i use the treadmill. i've heard good things about the elliptical but i'm wondering if someone can give me pointers at where and what muscle to start. i really don't know much about gym workouts.

any input appreciated. thanks!!

i think Ripptoe's starting strength is a good 5x5 program to begin with. google it up and youll find a lot of resources.

basically to weed out all the bullshit out there, the most paramount are the main COMPOUND movements: bench press, squat, deadlift, power clean. These will get you, if not huge, in shape. The latter are more complicated movements and you definitely want to perfect your form. Over the past 2 months, i havn't been able to go to the gym as often as i'd like to, but just by doing a rotation of these major lifts, i've managed to keep most of my muscle mass and even gain on my major lifts.

doing bicep curls all day wont get you to the moon, but certainly one of those large compound movements will.

On this program, and it's absolutely great keeps all the essential and core workouts, especially compound exercises.

Any lifter will agree that bench press, squad, deadlifts are vital.

Just make sure you perfect your form especially with squats/deadlifts otherwise you will fuck your back up.

skulls, one arm extensions behind the head, lying extensions, then like pull down type of thing on my gym setup

for bi's just doing seated curls, hammer curls, and standing olympic curls

Definitely liking assault. Gave me enough energy for a good workout with no crash.

The only con for me: I've been pissing non stop
