Is belly fat the hardest to lose...? My body's not really fat but my belly is rather protruding...

This is what I have been trying to do so far:
Run @6mph for 10-15mins
~50 air squats
One part of
5 x 4s down 4s up pushups
Repeat until finished youtube vid.

I may get some dumbbells soon, but I'm not too keen on going to a gym. Any recommendations/advice guys?

bulk starts today... already slimmed down 20 lbs, looking small its too damn discouraging :(

Fcukedd 06-07-2011 06:23 PM

Finally had a real shoulder workout today. Haven't had one for about 5 months since it hurt to even do 10lb raises/20lb dumbbell shoulder presses. The glucosamine in my multivitamin really helped the healing. Was able to rep out 6 with 65lb dumbbells which is better than I thought. :o

Nice, pretty solid numbers especially considering you were struggling with 10 lbs

... had a horrible workout today (what felt like a horrible workout). Felt really weak + head wasn't in it today + preworkout didn't "kick in" like it usually does. Sucked it up and did higher volume .. feel ok now though :) Persistence is worth something i guess

OT, but does anyone wake up in the morning with a horrible cramp in their leg? Ever since I started taking test freak I wake up in the morning and the same finger on the same hand is completely numb + I have a huge cramp in my right calf .. it was fucking horrible today, actually felt like someone was stabbing me in the calf with a blunt, hot knife.

Fcukedd 06-07-2011 10:27 PM

I've been having some fucked up finger in the morning for the past 3 months. Whenever I make a fist, and try to retract back my fingers, they somewhat "stop" at a certain point where if I kept going..they would pop straight rather than smoothly. It kind of hurts, but this only happens in the morning for about 15 minutes and goes away. Anyone experience with this before? It's only my left (and dominant) hand too..

My shoulder hurts too, and I'm hurting when I do any excersize involving presses (bench, shoulder, pushups, etc).

Did you have like a clicking sound? How did you treat it? Pain all gone?

I'm worried it will never go away lol

Those of you with shoulder problems, seriously consider doing turkish getups to help stabilize the joint.

There are a TON of benefits to doing them which include:
- Building torso stability
- Packing your shoulder joint

I do 3 reps of 3 per side with a 45 lb weight and I'm totally wiped after.

do you think this would be helpful some1 who has weak joints and her shoulder always gets dislocated??? she has some kind of condition that gives her weak joints and her shoulders are always going out during training

Yeah, I had trouble benching (especially incline), military, dips, etc. I took glucosamine which repairs your joints and cartilage. There's almost no clicking anymore after about 2 weeks of taking it, and I have no trouble doing any exercises that involve shoulders. I highly recommend it.

I don't think Turkish getups are going to help shoulder problems; maybe strengthening it AFTER it has been healed. I experienced pain holding a 20lb dumbbell above my head (probably others too), and I cannot imagine how putting that much strain on it would help.

I plan to run all these together and im hoping for some great results... on a side note, my shoulders have been lacking big time.. for the last cpl months I haven't made any gains, last night I did 6-7 sets for side raises, 5 sets facepulls etc.. when I move my arms up I can feel the soreness.. hopefully this does the trick and getting more protein in my diet

Anyone have any good routines for working the outer chest other than db flys, mine is seriously lacking, looking to make it wider

I always thought DB Flys worked the inside of your chest (like the "cleavage" portion)

RRxtar 06-09-2011 04:26 PM

standing cable flies with the pullies about 3 feet off the ground and roughly the same width as your wingspan. pull from about hip height to about face height.

i find flies dont hit my 'cleavage' unless im doing cable cross overs.
