I see people of all ages using an iphone and not just techies. Samsung and other companies release many models per year versus Apple who releases one phone with very good specs and a great design/look. Apple is going to stay on top for a long time. What's your first thought when someone mentions a tablet? The Ipad. Whats your first thought when someone mentions a touchscreen phone? the Iphone. It'll be awhile before someone overtakes them. |

It just baffles me that after 2 years with the same design all they do is make it longer...sure it's thinner and whatnot but it's the exact same thing design wise with a fancy paintjob. It's just not something you'd think a multi billion dollar company would think up when making the next generation of their flagship product. It feels like they designed it in 5 minutes. The tall thin screen just looks odd as well. Posted via RS Mobile |
Aren't all or most Android phones 16:9 ratio as well? Why does this one look odd and theirs don't? |

Apple will always be the known brand because it reintroduced the multi-touch gestures and touch screen. Nothing of apple today were invented by apple. Maybe that's why they are so afraid of ditching the original design because they are afraid that that will affect the reputation of the phone. If they were to completely redesign the iphone, it would probably be an imitation of something else. Look at the itouch and ipad and the soon to come ipad mini. They are the same design of the iphone. This just shows, apple doesn't have their own idea of design ever since Steve Jobs died. You can see Steve Jobs attempt when iphone 4 came out. The design were a little different, which makes me wonder what the iphone 5 would look like if he was still alive. But how many successful companies really design and invent things on their own? Very few. Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. Their design of cars and technology are also copied off from one another. Fast food chain like Mcd and Wendy's are also imitation of each other. It just who makes the best of the product. For apple to become the next RIM, it would require their competitor to invent or reintroduce a technology that will go beyond touch screen smartphones. Until then, apple will always be the first known company that produces smartphones. That is that. But if you want to debate which company produces better phones, that's a different topic. |

so let me get this straight i can preorder at midnight, max out my credit card, they will arrive the day of the release (like last year for the 4s), and I can flip em all the same day for profit. if for whatever reason they dont arrive or i cannot flip em. i can always return them within 14 days of recieving them. isn't this 100% risk free? why wouldn't i buy 20g's or whatever my cc max is worth of iphones? there's a limit... i know, but i broke that limit last year by using multiple computers and just... i just kept buying.
