in contrast, the nexus 4 for example, i don't recall seeing google/droidfans coming out and proclaiming that this is the end all, be all, holy grail of phone which makes all other brands worthless except for the aspect of price, which is impressive. i have however seen even droid fans put the nexus4 down, but to be fair i haven't really been following the android/nexus4 until very recently | Seriously? It's Apple that says their products are the greatest when they do their product announcements. Please find me some examples of regular Apple users on RS who post comments calling their devices "magical" and "amazing". Again you're taking something done by one group (Apple themselves) and applying what they say to the average Apple user.
Nobody claimed the Nexus 4 was the best? Really? And I've never heard anyone online ever post "this is the next iPhone/iPad killer" whenever a new model smartphone or tablet comes out. What I have heard is countless people say the 4S was a failure because it didn't have LTE/4G and iOS devices in general were because of their lack of an SD card slot, but now that the Nexus 4 lacks both suddenly it's not a dealbreaker anymore? The hypocrisy is amazing. Quote:

***snip*** | If you had actually read through any posts like you stated (claiming you followed the chain of events, which you clearly did not), then you'd realize you're wrong on many counts. I did not initiaite the "Android" comparison, Ronin did and I simply expanded on it (I even mentioned Ronin and DanHibiki in my post, but I guess you missed the reference). Then again, maybe Ronin and DanHibiki are rabid fans since they seem to agree with me. I mean, nothing I say could ever have any truth to it since it's all based on fanboyism, right?
And yet everyone is running from my core question because nobody wants to answer it. That is, why are Android users who post online far more prolific in their posts than Apple fans are? This is directly related to the topic of who the bigger fanboys really are.
I find it funny that people who don't use Apple, don't really like Apple and have no plans to buy Apple have a higher post count in an Apple specific thread than a fanboy like me does. And yet a fanboy like me who seems intent on "spreading the gospel" doesn't go around telling people what to buy nor do I waste time posting garbage in Android threads.
Maybe you need to modify you definition of what a fanboy really is. |
