Yeah I have no idea what's going on with there quality control but god damn it's filing atrocious that for sure. I guess we will see why will happen with the upcoming iPad mini plus the new iPods to see how we'll they are built as well!

I think this was just a test to see how far they could go with cheaper quality control. Turns out, people keep buying them like crazy.. so expect quality to keep going down, while they put others out of business with litigation

Noise is gone when I hold the power button and shake it on my replacement phone. But the dented iPhone 5 I had before still makes noise even after I hold the power and volume buttons.

Nope. When I hold down the power button the noise is gone.

Does the iphone 5 play HD video off youtube while not connected to wifi? Since it's now LTE?

very depressing and poor buying experience. Went to the service centre and exchanged for another one. They are not very helpful, gave me another iphone5 without a box, so the IMEI on the phone and old box are different. Then I saw at least 3 scuff marks on the edge, but they refuse to exchange another one.

They are challenging their customers how much we are willing to pay for a low quality built phone. I am disappointed and it will not buy another iphone or apple product anymore.

Yeah.i just returned my iphone and stuck with my 4s. Apple licks ballz

Another alternative to YouTube is the Jasmine player. A sleeker and cooler looking interface which plays much nicer quality compared to using data on the YouTube app.

Hopefully they will release a revamped YouTube app..

LOL ya, I just read it on mobile syrup eh. Unfortunately, it's the consumer who allows apple to do it...... I don't think apple products ever declined because of defects eh. They don't see a need to really fix something if it doesn't affect their sales.

so i just picked up my 5 today, everything is very snappy and the LTE browsing is crazy fast

but i seem to be having problems with things like instagram, shazam, etc and it taking forever to connect/send content?

edit* seems like only on Wifi which is usually a great connection in my house on my 4.. hmm weird

im kinda worried with all these bad quality control experiences. im planning on giving my hardware renewal to my gf for the iphone 5. but now there is the camera issue, rattling issue, and most of all scratch issue. weather you put a case on it or not its gonna scratch because the hard cases will scratch the phone.

i'm thinking i should hold out on getting the phone for now, maybe they will improve the build quality or the type of anodized paint.

btw, from an automotive point of view. anodized paint are more durable the regular paint.

also, can anyone recommend a nice girly case or bumper that is soft on the inside so it doesn't scratch?

Gorilla Glass shatters very well. It's supposed to be scratchproof (ie. hard)
