GG; Really happy for OKC and particularly Durant; down to earth, well spoken, and unselfish guy who has become a man amongst boys in just his 5th year in the league.....He's proven a lot of doubters wrong in long in such a short period of time...
I don't think there's really a lot of durant doubters in nba world..As a lakers guy myself. I knew it was a matter of time before they get to the finals. Hes had a lot of experience and coming up short last year helped and losing to lakers the year before that.
NOW. We shall see how he does in the finals as that's a lot of pressure but I see him just fine but anything can happen.

There were A LOT of doubters in his draft year....
Report: Durant's workout raises eyebrows at camp
Kevin Durant wowed NBA teams in his one college season at Texas. At last week's pre-draft camp? Not so much, according to a confidential draft camp report obtained by The Seattle Times.
According to the newspaper, the report said Durant was ranked 78th out of 80 NBA prospects who worked out at Orlando, while Ohio State center Greg Oden had an impressive workout.
Oden and Durant have long been slated to go 1-2 in the NBA draft, and it's expected the Seattle SuperSonics will take Durant after the Portland Trail Blazers take Oden.
According to the Times, Durant was the only prospect at camp who failed to bench press 185 pounds, and finished behind Oden in some key drills, including the vertical leap, agility drill and three-quarter court sprint.
Oden jumped 34 inches in the vertical leap while Durant jumped 33½ inches, completed the agility drill in 11.67 seconds to Durant's 12.33 seconds, and finished the three-quarter court sprint in 3.27 seconds, ahead of Durant's 3.45 seconds, according to the report.
Durant, however, had a 7-4¾ wingspan, which ranked second among all prospects and measured a half-inch wider than Oden's wingspan.
But Durant's college coach said scouts should not question his strength just because he could not bench press 185 pounds.
"If people question his strength, they're stupid," Texas' Rick Barnes said Tuesday, according to The Dallas Morning News. "If they are looking for weight lifters to come out of Texas, that's not what we're producing. There are a lot of guys who can bench press 300 pounds in the NBA who couldn't play dead in a cowboy movie. Kevin's the best player in the draft -- period, at any position."
Kevin Durant can't bench 185 pounds - NBA Pre-Draft Combine Results
In the middle of this Jason Quick update on Greg Oden's measurables (that Todd posted yesterrday), was a rather eye opening fact regarding Kevin Durant:
But get this: Only one player was unable to bench press 185 even once - Kevin Durant.
Wow. I can bench more than Durant? I'm guessing most of you can too considering I'm not making anyone in my gym turn their head. I don't know how much stock you should put in this from a basketball perspective, but this is a red flag that should indicate he's not as NBA ready as we've assumed.
I realize Tayshaun Prince probably isn't pushing up 200 either, but I just worry about some early injuries due to the banging he'll inevitably receive. Consider this news an invitation for the "Durant Rules" to be applied instantaneously.
Bench press doesn't directly reflect toughness, but strength is clearly needed to succeed in the NBA. (see: Lebron James)

ESPN.com is reporting that the Raptors are targeting Rudy Gay of the Grizzlies or Philadelphia's Andre Iguodala in a trade.
The Raptors are said to be interested in dealing their No. 8 pick, along with Jose Calderon (expiring contract) and big man Ed Davis, in exchange for a stud small forward. Davis makes sense for the Sixers, who could use a good, young big man to eventually replace aging Elton Brand.
Can someone tell me how iguodala fit as a stud small forward. Im just not a fan I guess.

Go OKC! -happy to see the Thunder bring that killer instinct to defeat the Spurs to go to the Finals. -heard some doubters from other websites say that OKC is too young and too inexperienced, to win a championship. I'm hoping that this team makes those doubters eat crow.
This team has matured and learned lessons from losing to Dallas last season in the playoffs. -almost to the top of the mountain guys!

I see. I'm sure there's always doubts for drafts but no way in helllll he wudnt go 1-2 pick even if he can't bench 150 lol. Heck. He doesn't look like he can bench 185 still lol

Anybody good with cap space and salary wanna do an analysis on how OKC will keep their players? I'd like to see. This team can be great for years if they can keep their players.
And everybody is too young and inexperienced until they've won something.

They won't be able to keep them all...Harden is due for a max. contract. They will probably have to let him go and will keep Ibaka.
They both become RFA's after next season...Ibaka makes about $2.5 mill next season while Harden makes about $5.8 mill next season.
Just listen to Westbrook's response to this...There's a reason why he didn't openly state that Harden is in fact worth a max contract...he completely avoided the question...."No more questions for you, bro."

LeBron being LeBron
This whole We Hate LeBron thing reminds me of a story.
A woman is in front of an apartment house that's engulfed in flames. She's screaming, "Help! Help! My baby's in there!"
A man sprints up and says, "Which floor?"
"Tenth!" she screams. "In the back!"
He rips off his coat and goes running in. Five minutes later, he's back, coughing, choking, and handing the woman the baby.
She looks at the man with a frown and sniffs, "He had a hat."
That's life for LeBron James.
Anything short of an NBA title makes James a useless wad of pre-chewed pork gristle in your eyes. Whatever he does -- three MVPs in nine seasons -- it's never enough.
You hate him -- still! -- for the way he botched the announcement of his free-agent move from Cleveland to Miami.
Forget that hundreds of people move from Cleveland to Miami every year.
Forget that dozens of NBA players change teams every year.
It was only one mistake. Has he showed up in any police reports since? Has he cheated on his fiancée ? Has he left his children stranded in the pick-up circle at school?
Has he refused to speak to reporters after a single game this season? Has he called out his teammates for their poor play, as Kobe Bryant did twice this postseason? Has he gotten his coach fired? Been fined for criticizing refs? Asked to be traded, released or named general manager?
Has he punched anybody? Choked anybody? Screamed at any parking valets? (Mom doesn't count.)
Smashed a chair? Drop-kicked any equipment? Tiger Woods does that on the front nine.
OK, LeBron is not perfect. Threw a Gatorade cup. Punched a walking stick. Carries that stupid little man purse. But if you were to fill a plane with the most spoiled superstars in the country, he'd be boarding in the D group.
You despise him because he passes too much. Imagine that. You hate a modern NBA player for not being selfish.
OK, I'd like to see him use his bag of hoop tricks to drive more at the end of games, too. But it's not like he hasn't done it, dozens and dozens of times, including huge fourth quarters against Boston and Chicago in last season's playoffs.
You people seem to want him to take it every single time, even with Dwyane Wade as a teammate. And Chris Bosh. But it's The Big Three, isn't it? Not The Big One.
And just so you know: In playoff games, LeBron has taken 13 final shots in tight games in regulation and hit five of them to win or tie. Kobe has taken twice that and hit only seven. Can we all just take a Xanax?
Besides, he passes so exquisitely. His passes are clairvoyant, leading teammates to places they didn't even know they were supposed to go. They're as soft and buttery as croissants. Why wouldn't you want him passing?
And why is the hoops world so hypercritical of this one thing when he's so brilliant at every other part of the game? Defense? He's guarded every position against the Celtics -- the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. "He's guarded everybody but me," says Celtics coach Doc Rivers.
Only Rajon Rondo is even close in all-around brilliance this postseason. James is second in points, fourth in steals, 10th in assists, second in minutes. He leads his team in double-doubles and the league in double standards. Wade missed an open jumper to lose Game 4 in overtime -- how come he's not "scared"?
Last year, you hated him for being a shrinker. Now you hate him for not being a closer. Every game, he must CLOSE. Was Magic Johnson a closer? A few times, yes. Every freaking time? No. And by the way, most of the time James doesn't need to close because he has been so drop-your-popcorn good the entire game.
Aren't we still playing the game of basketball? What happened to attacking the defense where it's softest? What's wrong with looking for the open shot? Aren't his 12 teammates getting paid, too?
People -- enough. This whole "Crown or Drown" thinking on James has to stop. Grown men are actually strapping microphones to their ties and saying that if James doesn't win the title, the Heat ought to be broken up. For what? For making the Finals last year? For making (at least) the Eastern finals this year? James has been with these guys only two seasons. It took Michelangelo four years to paint the Sistine Chapel. You people would've fired him in two?
But I think the reason you hate LeBron James the most is that he just doesn't seem to suffer his failures as much as you'd like him to. You want him to brood like Kobe after losses, glare like Jordan when things don't go his way, scream at teammates like Tom Brady when they're behind.
That's not James. His spirit is too light. He's too much fun. He's a 6-foot-8 pixie, a 27-year-old kid who's addicted to kidding. He's a genuinely sweet person. You think of the great athletes of our generation -- Jordan, Woods, Lance Armstrong. They all had a bit of the jerk gene in them. James is missing it. He is loved by his teammates, not feared. So sue.
That's probably going to work against him in the long run. It will keep him from being Jordan or Kobe or Kareem. It will keep him from being enough.
But isn't that somebody you want your kids to have as their hero?
Hat or no hat?

-agree with Steve Smith in this preview of game 6. The Heat must dominate the boards, and out rebound the Celtics in order to win this game. KG has been playing well in the paint. Spoelstra has gotta go with Anthony, Turiaf, and give more playing time to Bosh. He'll need a bigger lineup to get more rebounds. Boston isn't a leader in rebounds, especially on the offensive glass.
-transition points: Easy buckets on the fast break. Make it a fast tempo game.
-play the best defence of their lives! -unlikely that Pierce will have a second straight bad game. Pierce, Rondo, and KG are gonna be dialed in for sure. It will take Miami's best game of the playoffs to beat a proud Boston team in their building.

It will help if Bosh keeps playing well...They really just need 2 of them to excel and have a few role players step and play their role...Bosh excelling will be more valuable to them than Wade excelling because Bosh can spread the floor a bit while having some presence in the paint at the same time.

A masterful, clutch performance by Lebron! -saw the stat on TV at the end of the game: 1st player to get 45 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists in the playoffs since Wilt Chamberlain.
If you're a basketball fan, you would be mesmerized by the entire arsenal that LeBron used on Boston tonight. He made dunks, 3 pointers, layups, floater, and jumpers.
-liked that jab step jumper he made against the Boston defenders.
D-Wade had a good game too. -showed the energy on defense and attacked the basket.
-rough night for the Celtics big three. Pierce was shooting bricks again. 4 for 18 from the field is horrible.
Game 7 baby! -impressed by the MVP performance by LeBron. He just put all the pressure aside and put his team on his shoulders. Wow!

some people on the sports blogs i noticed even journalists wanna chalk up this Celtics loss to the fact that the big 3 had a bad game...
and I'm out here sayin the reason they had a bad game is a direct result of LeBron's onslaught. For you guys that play basketball on a regular basis, you know when you're playing a team that has a guy that's just killing you, it literally deflates you mentally, and at that point truth is you won't be playing your best basketball. It happens at your local rec, and it happens in the NBA...
Thats what LeBron did tonight, he was in their head from the moment he had that full court blow buy Pierce one hander almost over Garnett...
except Rondo, that dude is beyond reasonably cocky.. in the post game interview when asked about LeBron he just simply said "it was too easy for him, we have to take away his air space and make it uncomfortable for him, he had it too easy"
this fuckin guy was feet away from what was happening he knows the the truth, but he's too arrogant to admit, he knows LeBron killed anything and everything Celtics defense threw his way, almost ALL of the shots he took were well contested, easiest shot he got probably was that sick putback where everyone seemingly forgot he existed....
so he's obviously saying LeBron had it easy because he and everyone else on the Celtics staff is guaranteed shitting their pants right now, if that's what he can do to one of the top defenses in the league....
Wade needs to show the fuck up though, but I understand the game plan for the Heat tonight Wades assignment was to slow down Rondo, and let LeBron loose... it worked

2-ball drills are very effective for ball-handling....but why don't you just take a ball and do crossovers and run up and down the court with the ball in control and slowly increase your speed as you get more comfortable with the ball....try to keep your head up while doing all drills...Once you get comfortable with both, try doing them together....run up and down the court and do like 4 or 5 crossovers each way...mix it up a bit - hezzy-regular crossover, between the legs cross, behind the back cross, double-cross, in-and-out cross, etc. etc....one thing's for sure though, it's not something that just happens over night...

I've practiced so much with my left hand when I was younger that I actually feel MORE comfortable dribbling left and doing lay-ups left...it really helps to be able to say that since doing pull-up jumpers are way easier to do going left if you are right handed...

It was amazing watching them push it to game 7 and come THIS FAR in to the NBA playoffs.

Rondo can suck a D , hate him as a player......reminds me of Tony Parker, hate these slashing guards that can't shoot shit
Would you prefer a guard that doesn't drive and only jacks up 3s? (Jameer Nelson)
Although opinions are highly subjective, I find it much more exciting watching guards that slash instead of staying out on the perimeter. We're talking about guys like Rondo, Parker, Westbrook, Rose who can make a living penetrating. Not only can they score in the paint, whether it be finishing or getting to the line, it opens so many opportunities for the other four players on the court.
I can't stand point guards that just camp out at the three point line and shoot threes. The game is evolving, point guards don't just shoot and pass anymore, they're throwing down alley oops with ease. The centers don't just rebound, defend and score around the basket, they're dropping threes and handling the ball up the court. It's amazing watching the new players enter the league and their vastly developed skill set.

While Rondo isnt as rounded as Paul (as in scoring & shooting), he does everything else well or even better than other PGs. I honestly would take his PG attributes (slash & penetration, rebounding, stealing, finding open guys) over his shots and FTs anyday

Just because they lost the series, doesn't make you not an idiot for writing off a series going to game 7.......ANYBODY CAN WIN A GAME 7....It was a tie game going into the 4th quarter....It was anybody's game....had Boston hit a few open 3's or jumpers that they should have hit, it would have easily gone the other way...You can make predictions, but you can't start talking about the next series as if this one is already over, unlesss you have some crystall ball?? I doubt it will be Wade/WB, Durant/LeBron guarding each other...I'm sure the match-ups will be mixed up with Battier/Sefolosha/Harden/Chalmers....and with the amount of screens these guys set, there will probably be a lot of switches anyway, similar to last night's game between the Celtics/Heat...

Curry, Miller are both gone for sure end of this season, Turiaf and Pittman should go as well, dumping all those guys they should at least be able to get one quality big man banger and Joel Anthony needs to stay to play a backup center role for that guy, he's a decent starter, but would definitely be a solid backup.

Perkins is great against certain teams Lakers, Magic etc teams with a traditional center that plays in the paint. LeBron was clutch in the fourth quarter, especially with the jump shot off the glass in the last minute. -good game by D-Wade. Wade was attacking the basket, distributing the ball well. Battier keeps making the three pointers.
-saw the Heat contest more of OKC's shots. Durant played aggressive, and smart to stay in the game to make it a close game, despite the 5 fouls. 59 points from KD and Westbrook. -the game came down to a couple of plays.
That steal by Chalmers near the end of the game was huge. It's on to South Beach!
Ibaka is almost money when it comes to blocking shots. LBJ had a few shots by blocked by Serge.

and I'm seeing the old Wade emerge, Flash to be more precise... hopefully he keeps it up, I absolutely hate seeing any playoff series being played and the team's best players are not playing their usual games.
I wanna see all the 3 superstars from both teams playing to their potential, KD, Harden West, vs LBJ, Flash and CB4...
so then when the series is over there can be no doubt who the better team was.....
Spoelstra once again drove me absolutely nuts, Durant picks up his 5th foul with over 10 minutes left in the fucking game, so think about it, you got 10 minutes to go at KD and foul him out the game,,, but no the next 5 plays Spoelstra runs have absolutely nothing to do with Durant, it absolutely boggles my fucking mind.....

I'm pretty sure LeBron initially fouled as Durant was first putting down his dribble....If that was the case and the refs did go ahead and call a foul, Thunder would have just gotten the ball on the sideline anyway as the Heat were not yet in the penalty...

James was basically fouling KD throughout that entire play - when he initally fouled KD, KD was taking his first dribble and had not picked up the ball - therefore, it wasn't continuation because continuation is when the ball has been picked up...and I don't think that James fouled Westbrook on the rebound.

Ya, I still don't get how that wasn't a foul on KD.. James had his left arm on his chest as soon as the ball was inbounded and the drive. If the foul was called, OKC inbounds again with 8 seconds or so.. we all know they don't need a lot of time to score 2 or 3
As for westbrook.. it was clearly a hit on the wrist and westbrook had touched the ball.
Oh well.. both sides had weird calls so it all evened out. I was just hoping it wouldn't come at the end of the game lol.

What I meant was that I don't think that's a foul that should get called...It was a loose ball, Westbrook never had possession of it, they were both going up for the ball...It would a very soft foul if they called it...
In other news, Jamal Crawford fully intends to opt out of his contract with Portland and already has a list of teams on his radar as potential landing spots.
The teams on Crawford's "wish list" include the Heat, Clippers, Kings, Knicks and Cavaliers. There has been no speculation on if those teams actually want Crawford, as he is still technically under contract with Portland. Crawford almost signed with the Kings this past offseason, so there is some history between him and Sacramento.
I can't imagine him going to the Cavs or the Kings...Cavs because they are just that bad and Kings because they have a large clusterfuck in the 1-3 positions....I could see him playing for the Knicks or Clips, but I would think the Heat would be the best fit for him as they don't have a ton of guards support....I would think Chalmers and Wade with Craw being the first one off the bench.
Knicks have Lin, Fields, Novak, J.R. Smith, Baron Davis.
Clips have Paul, Nick Young, Mo Williams, Bledsoe, Foye, and even Billups though I think he is done...

OKC played a bad fourth quarter. Things started to unravel for the the Thunder in the third quarter though. -fouling Fisher on the 3 point attempt. -missed five three throws. -Durant getting into foul trouble with four fouls. Once Brooks took out KD and then Westbrook, OKC's offense was stagnant. -too much one on one basketball.
-Magic Johnson is spot on the game analysis for OKC. He's right about OKC not having an option four for offense. If KD and Westbrook are taken out of the game as in tonight's game, no OKC player can score consistently.
Fisher scored some points but Harden and Ibaka didn't provide scoring depth in the fourth quarter.

2-3-2 format for the finals, Thunder are in must win mode with 2 more straight games in Miami. Ideally the Thunder would want to be up 3-2 going back to OKC for games 6 and 7 but its looking more like a 2-3 hole going back to OKC.

You don't need an 'option 4' for offense....There are not many teams that have more than 3 guys that can create a shot for others, let alone themselves....What they need is guys to hit open jumpers and what they need is guys like WB, Durant, and Harden, creating more of those open jumpers for the role players...
Chalmers, Jones, Haslem, Miller, and obviously Battier are, for the most part, doing a great job at hitting their open jumpers.
Thabo, Fisher, Ibaka, and even Cook (though he's not getting much PT) are more than capable of doing the same.....

I think that a combination of his aggressive style of play and knee injuries over his career has slowed D-Wade down a bit. All those collisions with bigger players while he scores on difficult layups is bound to take a toll on his body. He's had surgery on his left knee and repair on a dislocated left shoulder. Personally, I think the refs like lebron too much. At the end of game 2, that was a clear foul and there was no call. Simlar issues with this game. James clearly fouls someone and there is no call..but when Durant fouls someone in the same manner, there is a call. :suspicious:
Also, Spoelstra needs to do some better coaching.. his style is making the games pretty tight. That's not to say OKC isn't playing well too.

^ I don't know, I just heard from the guys at the tournament in Portland and few buddies in Seattle area that seen him workin out at UW that he is aiming to come back next year.
ay so this tripped me out today guys, I been out for over a week now with a tweaked lower back, couldn't run or jump, didn't do nothing all week just rest, so today my first day where I actually felt no pain I hit up the gym started first doing set shots to warm up my body and started hittin like damn near all my set shots... wonderin wtf is goin on I was at it for like an hour shootin set shots and jumpers from 3 point range, and different spots on the floor... doing multiples of 10 and not once did my jumpers get the better of my set shots... for set shots I was hitting almost 10 for 10 every time, averaged out to be around 9 outta 10... and jumpers best I could do was an average of 7
decided to take a vid from one spot on the floor to show the results, first 10 r jumpers second 10 are set and last 10 are jumpers... I don't think set shots are all that usable in a real game situation but shit I'm definitely gonna try it out in a pick up run later this week, lol, wanna see just for the hell of it
Set Shots.mp4 - YouTube
I thought about it and the conclusion seems pretty simple, with jumpshots you have the extra motion of your body going not just upwards, but in a lot of cases sideways and front and backward as well, so you have to compensate for all that extra movement when you're shooting jumpers, as for set shots it's just a simple fluid motion as you're firmly set in the ground, nothing to compensate for it's just you and your natural fluid shooting motion

^ he's literally basing his comments on observations a 10 year old would make..... actually im pretty surprised he's that narrow minded, thought he was smarter than that...
He's basing LeBrons defensive capabilities on not being able to guard Durant 1 on 1, you kidding me ? Durant is a beast, he's basically a shooting guard version Dirk Nowitzki, nobody can guard him, but LeBron at least does a good job of crowding him forcing him to drive where he can rely on Bosh to help...
from all the players I can think off the top of my head, I think Scottie Pippen would have done the best job on Durant defensively,
but then again Ibaka could be an absolute genius, maybe he's trying to incite LeBron to dedicate all game and all his energy just guarding Durant on the defensive end, which wouldn't leave much room for his offense and that's what's been killing the Thunder, LeBrons offense...
we shall see later today, game time !

He leaves approximately $4.5 million on the table to hit the free agent market...lol nobody wants to play with Kobe....
Dwyane Wade has hired Tim Grover to help him with his conditioning.
Grover is the founder and owner of Attack Athletics and is known for training Michael Jordan. He has been training Kobe Bryant, but with Bryant's permission, Grover flew to South Florida in order to begin working with Wade. It's obvious that Sessions has opted out because he wants a multi-year deal after having a decent season...He'd probably get around the same amount of money/year, but over a longer period of time...
That said, if Kobe would just take a slight step to the side and let Sessions truly handle the point guard job, I bet Sessions could have a real break-out season and demand more money long term....He probably doesn't have much confidence in that happening so he's deciding to opt out now...

A good article about the explosive growth of basketball in China.
An estimated 300 million people play basketball in China according to the Chinese Basketball Association. Almost 1 in 4 people play the sport in that country.
You can compare basketball's popularity in China to baseball in Japan and hockey in Canada. No. 1!

There's no doubt that Nike and other American corporations are in China for the money. However, I'm not giving any credit to the big companies for introducing the sport of basketball to the Chinese.
My grandpa, and great grandpa played the sport back in the day, after some YMCA missionaires played the game in China.
Basketball is an old school sport in that country as per the article. Kids played the game in schools and in parks when they were growing up:
International - Helen Gao - From Mao Zedong to Jeremy Lin: Why Basketball Is China's Biggest Sport - The Atlantic (http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/02/from-mao-zedong-to-jeremy-lin-why-basketball-is-chinas-biggest-sport/253427/)
Introduced to China over a century ago by YMCA missionaries just a few years after the game's 1891 invention in Springfield, Massachusetts, basketball has seeped into the fabric of Chinese lives. Until the NBA arrived in early 1990s, basketball had come to feel so intrinsically Chinese, most people did not even associate it with America.
I hear people saying that it's all on Yao Ming and Wang Zhi Zhi's shoulders for making basketball popular in China because they were the first Chinese born players in the NBA. Complete bullshit. The game has its roots in China over a century ago.

Westbrook is playing with a thunderous roar. The Heat weathered the storm in the first half though. A good run for the Heat after OKC comes out attacking to start the game. -love the pace of this game.
Good move by coach Brooks to take Durant away from guarding James. I had a feeling that OKC's coach wasn't gonna let LeBron get KD into foul trouble for a third straight game.
LeBron is making the Thunder pay with those double teams on him.
LBJ makes the great passes to open shooter like Cole, Chalmers, and Battier for the three. His passing is even better than his shooting. Ibaka or Sefolosha are gonna have to go for the steal or prevent the passes from LeBron to the open guy.
Double teaming LeBron is playing with Miami fire if you ask me. He's too smart, too good a passer to double team as a defensive strategy.
-glad to see that D-Wade is okay after taking that nasty fall on his back.

Yeah, bad decision by Westbrook to foul Chalmers. -guess he didn't realize that the shot clock did not reset at the time.
Speaking of Chalmers, MC had his best game of the playoffs. -made that clutch lay up in the last minute of the game.
-looks like we might see an NBA championship being celebrated on home court this Thursday night. :fullofwin:

Westbrook is getting hammered from the media, OKC wins it was Durant, OKC losses its Westbrook's fault, guy cannot catch a break he kept them in the game tonight. Harden was a no-show again for the second straight game.

so let's see these last two games, their youth cost them the game, the one thing everyone always seems to compliment them on, young guns.... that shit can work against you as well..... just shows the inexperience they still have, Harden last game and Westbrook this game..... they still in their early 20's, got lots to learn
but I gotta say they're heading in the right direction, from what I saw last years playoffs they're much better this time around...
When the Heat win this chip, I'm sure they're smart enough to know they don't wanna see the Thunder again in next years' finals, they just gonna keep getting better....

I see an amateur team for the 2nd straight game.
First Harden with unnecessary foul, which his flop backfired on him. Westbrook not mindful of the clock. Durant doesn't even get the ball until the last 13 seconds. :seriously:

-heard the ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon ask Commissioner Stern during game 3 about whether the league will do anything about players flopping.
The commish said a definitive "Yes", that the league will do something about next season to reduce the amount of flopping in games.
What do you think Stern means in terms of league addressing the flops? -give referees the power to call a foul on the player flopping?

The Wizards have traded Rashard Lewis and the No. 46 pick in the 2012 draft to the Hornets, in exchange for Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza.
Lewis is owed $23.7 million in the final year of his monumental contract, but the Hornets can (and probably will) buy him out for $13.7 million. Meanwhile, Okafor is owed $28 million over the next two years (with a $14.6 million Early Termination Option next summer), while Ariza is owed $14 million over two years (with a $7.7 million player option next summer). The No. 46 pick is little more than a sweetener, but the Hornets now have copious salary cap space and Anthony Davis inbound.

I'll tell you one fuckin thing the NBA definitely needs, and this is a no brainer I am very surprised the "geniuses" at the head office haven't implemented this.
the need high speed HD cameras that capture the action at high framerates... this would make the referee's jobs lookin at replays a helluva lot easier... anybody that's seen a slow motion replay of some play they're reviewing will know what I'm talking about.... the regular HD cameras just don't shoot fast enough to capture everything 100%
look how beautiful this shit is, find me one referee who wouldn't want these types of cameras implemented

The Lakers are reportedly trying to make a move to get a first-round pick in the NBA draft.
Sam Amico is reporting that the Lakers are "making real push" to get a first-round pick, and have their sights set on one of two Baylor forwards: Perry Jones or Quincy Miller. What the Lakers would give up is unclear, but based on who they're looking at, it wouldn't be too much.

NHL Players Mock LeBron James (http://www.terezowens.com/nhl-players-mock-lebron-james%E2%80%99-leg-cramps/)
I don't get it when NHL players mock NBA stars. Sure, hockey players take more physical punishment in terms of body checks, blocking pucks, and maybe headshots, but basketball is a physical sport too.
NBA players play the game with less breaks between each game unlike the 30 second to 45 second shift of an NHL player.
Basketball is a physical sport that tests your stamina.
Goligoski should try to skate full speed with leg cramps before he tweets something against LeBron. Idiot! Juwan Howard and another guy helped LeBron off the court.
It's not like the stadium staff brought a stretcher out for him.

^ Sure to whatever you said, I have no opinion on the matter and I don't care to compare the physical aspect of NHL vs. NBA as they are two completely different sports and that debate is pointless....
BUT, as painful as a leg cramp is, and let me tell you, it can be REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY fucking painful.....I would NEVER allow somebody to PICK me up off the ground in the manner shown by that picture unless I had a 2 broken legs and literally could not walk.....like seriously....be a fucking man...
