And the title of the greatest player of all time has been given to Jordan.

Kobe Bryant is also one of the best players to ever hold a basketball. He is also very 'cocky' in his own way, and he also has the right to do so. He lead his team to 4 championships (with help of course. But even Jordan needed help with his 6 championships), and he is currently also the best Laker right now. But he is NOT Jordan. Anyone who compares Jordan with great players such as Kobe Bryant and Lebron James is fighting a lost cause. It's just not right to do. Jordan IS basketball.

It's not just one game. But yeah I totally agree that even Kobe and Jordan did have trouble in certain points of their career. But they were able to push themselves and do clutch performances when all hope seemed to have been lost in the playoffs. At the most crucial points, Lebron still hasn't been able to step it up in almost every single post-season series.

Though leading the Cavs to their first ever NBA Finals appearance, Lebron and his team was swept 4-0.

Last year, he was eliminated by Orlando. Even left without giving any post-game handshakes.

This year, he failed to step-up once again.

But I guess one can argue that Jordan had a better supporting cast such as Scottie Pippen and co. Likewise, Kobe had great support from Shaq and co., as well as Gasol and co. later on.

there's a difference between approaching the game from a technical standpoint and being mentally tough all around, you're right when you say they approach the game in a similar manner, you can tell by watching their game interviews, they're eerily similar, but that's where the resemblance ends.

Kobe has been criticized in the past for "taking himself out of the offense during games" to punish his teammates, give them the cold shoulder treatment to teach them some kind of lesson. Now this ain't an opinion of mine, it's a well known fact, plenty of articles out there about it and not just from the media but even from Phil Jackson himself. I'm not sure he does it anymore but he was doing it a lot around the 2006 and 2007 season, when he was extremely frustrated with the direction the Lakers were heading in and wanted a trade.

don't get me wrong, Kobe IS mentally tough, but just growing up watching MJ play, his toughness was on another world, just eclipses everyone else playing the game today. The Lakers will try to eat the Suns up alive with their size (Bynum, Gasol, Odom) but then again these same bigger slower guys are gonna have to sprint back on defense when the Suns hit full stride with their fast break. And nobody has been able to do that effectively and consistently against the Suns.

Definitely a good matchup to watch, to see which style will prevail.

i had my doubts about the lakers after seeing them struggle against Oklahoma. Hell, I'm even for the suns.

But after seeing bryant's last 7 performances, I have no doubt that lakers will take the championship once again this year.

I am not a fan and despise Kobe Bryant. However, I have to give credit to Kobe, because he's playing damn well. With that being said, I dont think the Suns match up well against the Lakers. There are too many big bodies on the Lakers and that creates problems for Nash, especailly in the post, where Gasol's lanky ass arms delfect passes too often.

My thinking during the season was Celtics should make the final dance because they have gotten better with adding Wallace to the lineup. Then they started struggling and I got the mindset they've already won it, aren't as hungary and are getting old. Then my thinking was, If Boston can get their shit straight they will make the finals because they have way too much talent not to. Having been there, they have an edge on Clevlend and Orlando.

2 games into both finals and it looks like we will be seeing a Lakers / Celtics final. This could be one of the greatest series ever. You have personalties on both teams in Wallce and Artest...and just overall great players on both teams...I can't wait..
