Nikko I talked the Clippers up since Chris got there thats when they became my favorite team, but they've been a let down because of Del Negro.... (i had to root for the fckin Hornets for years, lol)
I've seen basically every single Clipper game since Chris got there, and from what I've seen so far in just a handful of games this season, it's simply different this year. I'm not gonna hype them up like previous seasons or talk smack due to over excitement, I'm just gonna lay back and enjoy the fckin show...
because the points are coming much easier then before, plays are being run, defensive schemes are being executed and to top it all off, Lob city ain't gone or dead yet... and the only thing I'll miss about the old Clippers is Bledsoe and the Jamal Crawford isolations at the top of the key, cuz yes those are gone as well for the sake of game flow....

While an exception, Yao Ming was like 7'6 and he shot 83.3% for his career at the free throw line. Dwight's 6'9 and he shoots worse than Shaq did. I think it has to do something with how a player is taught at a young age. Euro bigs generally tend to be terrific ft shooters in comparison to their american counterparts. And they have the same height, size of hands etc. Add in the mental aspect of it.

^there's always exceptions but generally bigs don't shoot very well at the ft line, wilt chamberlain was a career 51% ft, manute bol haha was 56%, i forgot who it was, maybe reggie miller, but he gave the same explanation i did and it makes sense, to me anyways. the tall players that are good ft shooters are generally good mid range shooters too, like pau gasol, dirk, yao ming. you're probably right too that euro bigs are taught to shoot more than american bigs. shaq, dwight, etc are more back to the basket bigs where they utilize jump hooks, dunks, and floaters so they really don't have a 'jump shot' so once they get to the free throw line...they don't have that natural jump shot arm movement.

They're trying to run a twin tower system but of course it can't work because the two play the same back-to-basket game. It worked in LA because Gasol and Bynum were almost never on court at the same time (it's Gasol+Odom or Bynum+Odom). Houston is much better when they play small ball. As it blew up on reddit yesterday, I thought I'd share it with the best b-ball community, too. Been using it for quite a while and it works perfectly; however, it doesn't work for live games, but for Internationals like myself who only watch the games the morning after or whatever because they don't like to stay up all night, it's perfect.

So here's what you gotta do.

If you paste that link into the open stream function of your standard VLC or quicktime player, you are able to watch the game. Or if you're on mobile just click THIS LINK and try it out.

So, the link structures consist of the following

A Year played
B Month

I had to give Live a shot I been a live gamer since I was in elementary school in the mid 90's... only started playing 2K in 2006...

but yea the only positive they can take from the whole game is their features, and from gameplay only the dribbling system looks and feels better than 2K's isomotion which has been garbage forever because it never takes you anywhere and it never fools the defender... with Live's dribbling moves you can actually use it to beat and get past your defender and it looks natural

Don't get me wrong, i use to love nba live before as well then it kinda got to "arcadish" for me on the ps3 (for my taste anyway) and I thought 2k improved leaps and bound over them... I was hoping that live would compete on this gen as well as it would make 2k improve even more.... but watching the videos online just showed me 2k is the one to own..

do you know if either nba games allow multiple players online like nhl.. sometimes when ppl are over, we wanna play online as a team but ps3 doesn't allow it :(

Yeah also I think the acquisition hurt his ego as defensively they do very similar things. You may think that Dwight is some defensive monster but since his injury you can clearly tell he's not what he used to be, therefore the gap between their defensive skills has narrowed.

He's also a valuable center in today's NBA, and he would be great for other teams, just imagine if he never left Chicago what the defensive juggernaut that would be.

Yup.. drummond's playing time pretty much increased from 20min to sometimes close to 35min a game this year. As for Monroe..it will be tougher for him to be effective as last year because of what you said and he's also now sharing the floor with Drummond unlike last year.

there were some buzz on him too during the draft and him falling to the raptors lap.. but nope.. :P

and good point on the cavs.. but the Bennett pick was just off the charts for everyone. but that was one weak draft class so it's ok.

The Toronto Raptors have reached an agreement in principle to send Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Kings will send Greivis Vasquez, John Salmons, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes to the Raptors. The Kings will also acquire Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray in the deal, sources said.

The Raptors and Gay had become increasingly unhappy with each other, league sources said, and Gay's contract was an obstacle to the franchise's desire to begin the rebuilding process.

Gay is making $17.8 million this year, and holds a player option for $19.3 million for the 2014-15 season. The forward will almost assuredly exercise the option and take that salary next season.

The Kings plan to use Gay at the stretch-four position.

Ujiri is in his first full season running the Raptors. The possibility of Toronto getting into the high lottery for the star-packed 2014 NBA Draft is important, especially with the possibility of selecting Toronto-native Andrew Wiggins of Kansas. Toronto has lost five straight games, and dropped to 6-12 in the Eastern Conference.
