I like D'Antoni but that won't work and I don't know if it makes much sense, you only bring in D'Antoni basically for his offensive mind, but Lakers have no problems scoring, it's defense they need work on....
If they could steal a defensive minded assistant a'la Thibbs, that shit would work out like gravy, when Thibbs left Boston's coaching staff and headed the Bulls he turned them into a beast, I'm sure there's gotta be assistants like that somewhere

None of that means shit....there is plenty of things that aren't taken into account when it comes to this "efficiency" bs.....
Miami and LA have the same defensive efficiency, how come the Miami is 5-1 and not 1-4?...and do you really think Miami truly has the 22nd worst defense in the league...?....no, probably not...the same way LA hasn't had the 5th best offense in the league...

Kobe isn't a primadonna? Get real....just because he wants to win, doesn't make him NOT a primadonna....In fact, that's possibly what makes him one...He'd disrespect Phil Jackson by going out and doing his own thing on the court, completely tossing Phil's plans away in the garbage at times...Phil was laid-back and put up with his shit because that's how he was....Sloan won't put up with that shit and he'll just get up and walk away, exactly as he did in Utah...
Best players that Sloan has dealt with is Karl and John, and they were both 100% class acts, and I wouldn't say that Sloan made them that way...

I'm gonna agree with bballguy here. Sloan won't fare well with the Hollywood environment alone, nevermind the stars on this team.
Phil is the man for the job and from the look of it (sources on ESPN NBA), he's up for another hurrah. I'd be so pumped because you know how Phil is. He's excellent at managing superstars (prima donnas) and get the best out of them. And you know he'd only agree to coach if he thinks the team has a shot.
I would be absolutely disappointed if D'Antoni somehow get the job. Guy has never won anything because his philosophy doesn't work.

All signs point to Jackson stepping in, though I'd assume he'd only agree with some arrangement limiting his travel...
I'm going to have to disagree with your D'Antoni statment though....Fact of the matter is that the team that beats them in the playoffs has simply been better than them...They'd been contenders in the West for most of his years in Phoenix and probably would have made the finals that one year had it not been for Stu Jackson retardedly suspending Amare and Diaw for simply standing up from the bench...if you look at the series in which Suns would get eliminated from playoffs, they were almost always the underdogs...He even took the Suns to the conference finals one year without Amare...

That Kobe vid there where he says it's my team, it would pass for cockiness and primadonna arrogance, IF he didn't spend half of his life and bring all those chips to that team. He feels entitled to certain things because he busted his ass to earn them with hard work and dedication.
I love his fck the world attitude, but at the same time I can't stand how he's tried to emulate MJ in every single aspect of his life almost. I understand emulating MJ on the court, but almost every single thing he does and says off the court related to his work sounds exactly like not only something MJ would say, but something MJ most likely HAS said himself. And that will get a pass, because a lot of time in pro sports this type of attitude is what it takes to win, and it's win above all.
Strangely enough they sound almost identical as well with a very similar deep sounding voice, close your eyes and swear it's MJ talkin sometimes.
I just don't see Phil coming back at all.... he's accomplished more than enough and has no reason to come back whatsoever, yea win more chips ? who cares, he himself already said he doesn't.
D'Antoni's biggest strength is his offense, and Lakers don't need help on offense they need help on D.
I see Sloan, and I see respected coach, I see he has a Stockton and Malone Version2 in Nash and Dwight and that alone would be enough for most people want him as head coach, I'm one of them...
Lakers won last night against Golden State by scrapping the Princeton and just playin fckin basketball, they kept Curry and Thompson in check so there's a sign their defense has at least for this game answered the call.
Not much goin on tonight game wise except Nuggets, Denver is fun to watch with the players they got, and they goin up against Golden State another good young solid team (the league seems filled with them) think that'll be the game of the night

And Kobe last night was quoted saying he felt bad he couldn't do much because of his bum knee that year, he did not want to send off Phil out like that...

Sloan being the better coach would not fit in with LA system. I mean if he got pissed off because of the fact Deron ran his own plays in utah, he probably be do the same when kobe becomes kobe later on in the season (+ playoffs). Like what bballguy mention, any coach coming to LA better be laid back when kobe takes over.

As I stated earlier, right now, all signs are pointing towards Phil Jackson coming out of retirement, and, if he does, you can be sure he's bringing the triangle with him.
Update:
Jackson and Lakers discussing ways that coaching staff can ease some of his responsibilities, such as shoot-arounds, etc. More talk to come.

Unfortunately, I was at work and didn't get to catch it....That said, I don't really care about their regular season performance as long as they aren't losing in long streaks, and are still able to beat teams that are considered contenders. Fact of the matter is that this game in november doesn't mean shit, and more often than not, the players know it and it shows.....Come April, it becomes a whole different ball game.
That's why NFL football has to be one of the most exciting sports to watch. Only 1 team makes it from each division...makes it pretty damn tough to make it, so you know every team is going to leave everything they got on the field....You don't get that with basketball until April.

"Mike D'Antoni expected to reach out to fellow USA assistant Nate McMillan as potential defensive assistant, league source tells"
New Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni is expected to reach out to fellow Team USA assistant Nate McMillan as a possible defensive assistant on his staff, a league source told CBSSports.com Monday.
McMillan, fired as head coach of the Trail Blazers in March, was a presumed candidate for the Lakers' head coaching vacancy but was never contacted by the team.
Pairing D'Antoni and McMillan would strengthen the staff's connection with Olympians Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard while quelling concerns that D'Antoni is too offense-oriented. In his most recent head coaching job in New York, D'Antoni was willing to accept the hiring of defensive assistant Mike Woodson, even though such a move hastened his ouster from the job.
D'Antoni's brother, Dan, is viewed as a lock for the Lakers' staff. Phil Weber, a key member of D'Antoni's staff in Phoenix and New York, also is believed to be a candidate, sources said. D'Antoni is said to be very high on former Knicks assistant Kenny Atkinson, but he's under contract with the Hawks.
With the Lakers choosing D'Antoni and a stark departure from the Princeton offense that assistant coach Eddie Jordan was hired to install, it would seem to be a foregone conclusion that Jordan will be let go. It is believed that assistant coach Steve Clifford, however, will get strong consideration to remain on the staff. The highly regarded Clifford interviewed for Portland's head coaching position and was approached about joining the staff in Portland and Dallas before joining the Lakers.
While the Lakers ate about $11 million of Mike Brown's contract after firing him five games into his second season, it is believed that the team included an unusual cost-saving provision in at least some of their assistant coach contracts. The clause stipulated that if Brown were fired for any reason, any assistants let go would only be owed half their annual salaries for this season, a league source said.

Your thoughts on the Lakers' hiring of D'Antoni? I think this decision says much about owner Jerry Buss in terms of his willingness to give more control to the coach.
Buss is driving the Lakers' bus, no doubt about it. If Jackson was hired to be the coach, Phil may have asked for more authority over the team, part ownership of the team, who knows. I doubt that Buss is willing to give up more to hire Jackson.
D'Antoni better know how to manage the stars on this team. Based on this article, it sounds like he's not very confrontational. Yeah, Mike knows Kobe back in the day when Mamba played basketball in Italy.
In a dizzying decision, Lakers turn to D'Antoni to right ship | NBA.com (http://www.nba.com/2012/news/features/david_aldridge/11/12/morning-tip-lakers-choose-mike-dantoni-over-phil-jackson/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt3a)
However, what if things going really sour for the Lakers? How will Bryant react? How will D'Antoni deal with with the big egos of players especially if the season doesn't turn out the way the Lakers hope it to be?
Everybody knows that D'Antoni's weakness is defense. Can Nate McMillan, supposedly his choice as defensive assistant coach, improve the D for the Lakers?

Jim is the jackass who wanted to leave his own imprint on the Lakers and fcked a lot of shit up, but luckily GM Kupchak salvaged the ship.
Yea I know Z-Bo stopped pointing guns at people years ago, but were talking about his own court image. He got really rowdy 2 seasons ago when the Grizz made a deep playoff run and beat the Spurs, he was killin it so proclaimed himself the best PF in the game. He rode that rowdy train into the following season where they met the Clippers in the playoffs but due to injury he didn't play well yet still was instigating constantly.
From what I see this season, he's being the total opposite of instigator, like Wasabi saif that Clipper game he caught Blake off guard which was really funny. nice guy Zbo lol, good for him though

apparently kobe wanted the princeton offense so mike brown isn't entirely to blame. heard about it on a recent podcast and found this link. Kobe Bryant goes back to school: Lakers switching to Princeton offense - Yahoo! Sports Canada (http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--kobe-bryant-goes-back-to-school--lakers-switching-to-princeton-offense.html)
"It's a great offense," Bryant told Yahoo! Sports. "It's exactly what we need. It takes us back to being able to play by making reads and reacting to defenses. It takes a great deal of communication, but that's where we're at our best: Reading and reacting as opposed to just coming down and calling sets. Calling sets make you vulnerable.
"There's so many threats, so many options, it's very tough to defend. Against the type of defenses that teams play nowadays, they load up on one side and are constantly coming with help from the weak side. The Princeton offense makes it very, very tough to lock in on one particular player.
"From my experience, those types of principles – ball movement, changing sides on the floor, everybody being involved – those are championship principles. That's championship DNA."

I'm sittin here watching him shut down Lillard who started the game hot, but once Jim got in, he shut him down few steals, bunch of assists already to bring the game back to even score.... he's playing really well and under control unlike last year where he looked very lost....

just out of curiosity, when you guys shoot the ball, do you guys always adjust and rotate the ball to grip the seams before going into shooting motion? i'm pretty comfortable shooting the ball once i get a good grip on the seams, but it's not always possible/don't always have enough time (especially in a catch and shoot situation). been working on trying to get a good spin on the shot without using the seams and it just looks so wrong..

everyone may be different, but catch and shoot= no time to adjust ball seam. Only free throws and wide open shots, you get like under 1sec to rotate.

BlueTiger I don't see how you can look at the ball at all when shooting, unless it's free throws, it's just something you feel with your hands.... repetition is key, so put the time in and you'll see results slowly... takes a long time though, took me a few years to get really good at shooting
I love how Jamal keeps his defenders off balance almost with every dribble, I always try to emulate it because a big part of my game is pull up jumpers so I need to create space to get my shot up.... look at teh sickness he pulled off tonight

I catch the ball in the same position that I am going to release it in.. (if that makes sense)
So in a catch and shoot situation, by the time i catch the ball, I am in the position of going up.
If I need to adjust, I pump fake and dribble back, (or step right/left) and shoot.. but everyones different :p

catch and shoot...no time to line up the seams...In high school, I dominated opponents with my quickness and thus I found it easy to get to the hoop for lay-ups, floaters, and teardrops. However, I had no shot whatsoever in high school. In fact, if a team played zone against us, I was fucked. I remember one game, I shot like 4/20 from the field including 2/12 or some shit from 3point. Once I left high school, I realized I forgot to work out and fell behind the rest of top class because of lack of strength....Given that, I had to adjust in some way...I worked a little bit on upper body strength and all of a sudden I became a pure shooter....I don't know how it happened, and everyone who I explain this to says it makes no sense, but I never even practiced my shooting or nothing...I just worked out, and all of a sudden I could do pull-ups from 5 feet behind 3-point line at any given time...
So yeah, upper body strength is absolutely vital, in my opinion, in order to be successful with the catch-and-shoot and pull-up jumpers on good, athletic defenders.
I love how Jamal keeps his defenders off balance almost with every dribble, I always try to emulate it because a big part of my game is pull up jumpers so I need to create space to get my shot up.... look at teh sickness he pulled off tonight

I mean it's not even about man'ing the fck up, he just needs to realize the position he's in already and that there's other people out there with real fckin problems and get over himself....
If it was me, I would just have the team doctors knock me out sedate me prior to flights and wake me up when I land.... I was actually watching this video this morning on Grantland and just couldn't feel much sympathy for him even though I used to have anxiety myself in public places when I was younger....
I don't think he's event that good, they keep saying he's a top 10 lottery pick, the best and most solid thing about his game from seeing him play is his passing, he reminds me of Boris Diaw literally, I think he could be that type of player at best... unless he drops like 30 lbs and gets a lot faster, I doubt any NBA team is gonna let him dribble around and handle the ball like this

BallGuy, George Karl has stated numerous times that Mozgov is his best big man, McGee is still too raw, but he's gettin better, worked out with Hakeem on his post game a bit over the summer it's starting to show.
I've seen a few Nuggets games this season, I wouldn't say Karl is locking him down, McGee has been running about 20+ minutes a game so far. Karl probably has the most unique roster of any team so right now he's really experimenting to see what gives him the most production.
So far from the games I've seen he's been running a variation of small forward ball, with their athletic forwards Faried, Iggy, Brewer and Gallinari.... not quite small ball which seems to be the craze nowadays, so it's pretty neat seeing this team outplay others that go with small ball, yet enough size and strength to play with bigger teams.
Really fun to watch, I'd say right after the Clippers, Nuggets are easily the second most fun team to watch....
almost forgot, they also have Anthony Randolph, another mobile and very long and athletic type big like McGee, he was supposed to break out in both Golden State and Minnesota, but never happened
good games last night, Knicks are moving the ball well....it's the Jason Kidd effect... him and Felton won that game for the Knicks in the second half with their combined play

That's not a travel, and the reason why is because he hasn't actually picked up the ball until right before his jump stop. Your 2 steps begin once you've actually picked up the ball, so really every other step before that counted as part of the dribble.
As for McGee, I guarantee you he will see an uptick in minutes as the season progresses. I think Karl is just developing him into a smart player, which will be good for him long term, but he's been very efficient thus far. Last night, he was clearly a game changer in the 4th quarter, made some tough shots that were clearly out of Hakeem's book, getting important offensive rebounds, making key blocks on the other end of the court...and all of a sudden, Karl subs him off....have no idea what his thinking behind it was...like I said, I think Karl is just keeping him in check right now so that he doesn't become a retard again, and his minutes will gradually increase as the season goes on.

yea the layup travel I understand the aspect of pushing the ball ahead then catching up to it, if it's done smoothly then it's fine, but that being the reason why refs don't call it, it's technically a travel as often as it isn't, they can never be sure it's why nba refs let it go.
Just last night I got called for that bullshit, I caught an inbound pass and threw the ball through two guys splitting the double team, obviously hand and ball separate... but all the refs saw was the large dash I used to get through the two defenders, must've been strictly looking at my legs.
Hakeem said about McGee, that he was so amazed by what he saw, that the guy should be dominating the league at that position with the physical tools he possess. I'm sure McGee reminded him of his old teammate Ralph Sampson, another 7 foot + monster

on another note, damn..... Grizzlies are steamrollin teams..... it looks like... as of now and if play continues like this, it's looking like a Clippers and Grizzlies in the Western Conf Finals.... fck Lakers n fck the Thunder :woot2:
lol I know, I was just trollin'....Anyway, main reason why the game has evolved from the tick-tack-toe game to the pick 'n' roll and iso game is simply because it was way more difficult to get things done on your own back in the day. Rule changes removing the hand-check, and delay of cross-key helpside zone coverage, along with the addition of the no-charge semi-circle has made it easier to get to the hoop, and we see less of a team-game, and more of a isolation game nowadays.
In my opinion, it's a huge a reason for the extreme lack of parity in the NBA.

trollin in an NBA thread, whaaaaa?.... lol :moderatorban:
but yea the two biggest differences from then and now, is yea like you said handchecking, zone n all that... and also the bigger players weren't necessarily bigger taller etc... but they sure played like it.. bigmen played like bigmen and knew to protect the paint, it wasn't a guard's league just yet like today... and guards back then were hesitant going to the hoop knowing they were gonna get smashed, nowadays they can't wait to get to the paint, especially the more elite guards, they know there's an automatic call waiting for them.
That clip you posted of Malone and Stockton, that's exactly why I loved watching the Jazz even though everyone outside Utah didn't like them... they were doing that shit in the league the way it was back then and literally ahead of their time.
Speakin of Malone, I just can't wait for Blake to learn how to shoot midrange like Malone, then we can see Chris & Blake be Stockton/Malone 2.0
it's eerie how similar the stats and percentages look for first 2 years of both Malone and Griffin, I think Blake is gonna end up like Malone in his older age
I know it's early guys to be callin anything, but I'm really liking the way our old Grizzlies are playing and the Clippers too.... I somewhat revel in seeing Lakers struggling though they expected automatic chip... and Thunder screwing up with lettin go Harden yet trying to act non chalant about it

Sources -- Andrew Bynum of Philadelphia 76ers suffered setback while bowling - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8647489/sources-andrew-bynum-philadelphia-76ers-suffered-setback-bowling)
The Philadelphia 76ers fear All-Star center Andrew Bynum might have done additional damage to his knees while bowling, according to sources close to the situation.
Multiple sources told ESPN on Saturday that Bynum suffered an unspecified injury this month while bowling. On Friday, Bynum revealed that -- on top of the issues with his right knee that could keep him sidelined until January -- he also had suffered a "setback" with his left knee.
Bynum
"I had a little bit of a setback, and we're just working through some issues with the right knee," Bynum said before the Sixers beat the Utah Jazz on Friday night. "I kind of have a mirror thing going on with my left knee. I don't know what's going on, but the doctors are saying pretty much that it's a weakened cartilage state."
There are several activities that are prohibited in standard NBA player contracts, but bowling is not one of them. Bynum is known to enjoy bowling.
Multiple calls to Bynum's agent, David Lee, were not returned.
Bynum, yet to play or practice with the team, was acquired in the blockbuster four-team trade in August that also sent Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
In September, Bynum went to Germany to receive Orthokine therapy injections in both knees. In October, he received preventative lubricating injections. The reason those procedures were done so close to the season, the team said, was to maximize their effects. At some point, however, Bynum developed a bone bruise that has sidetracked his rehabilitation and recovery.
The Sixers have pushed back Bynum's hoped return date three different times and have released a series of detailed statements on the matter. But before Bynum's comments, there never was any mention of left knee pain or weakened cartilage.
"I've just got to wait for the cartilage to get stronger, and that's pretty much what's going on," Bynum said. "The pain is about the same, but there is swelling in both knees that we have under control. It's the same spot, bone bruise on both sides."

well I guess from my earlier comments about Zack Randolph playing peacekeeper on the court, makes sense now that he said he's done with the "bluffing" on court... but seems like he's still an idiot off the court, a snippet from his interview about his confrontation with Perkins.... and I conveniently hilighted and underlined the best part
Q: And then in the back, did you try to go in their locker room?
A: Nah, I didn’t go in their locker room. It was some doors; I had went on their side. Their locker room was like right there to the left. But I had went through some doors in the hallway. And I went through the doors. But it was a lesson learned. It won’t happen again. I ain’t gonna lose no $25,000 again. I’m done with all that bluffing on the court, because them guys do a lot of bluffing. I’m from the bluff city. We don’t do no bluffing, man. (Laughs).
Q: Do you think Perkins got the point? Do you think he probably thought ‘This guy’s a maniac?’
A: (Laughs). I don’t know. Perkins know me, so he know what’s up.
Q: Could you whoop his a–?
A: (Laughs). I’m good with these hands, man. I’m a jackin’ dude. I’m pretty good with these hands so…Hey, every day I came out the house I had to fight, you know. Me and my brother.
I just don't get how these idiots constantly seem to forget that what happens on the court stays on the court, they're two separate mental states. I mean you would have to be a lunatic like KG to drag the issues off the court.
And as crazy as KG is, I guarantee you even he had regretted calling Charlie Villanueva a cancer patient after the game...
I remember Charlie had absolutely lost his mind about it, nobody knew at the time what KG had said though, it came out a while afterwards

^ nice try, but bring some facts next time other than the absolutely obvious ones if you wanna argue my points in this thread, you should already know that by now you've been in here long enough.
Facts like Jamal Crawford has already won a 6th man of the year award..... like that he's not really coming off the bench, I mean do you REALLY think Willie Green is a starter ?
Facts like that there has only been 2 guys to win 6th man of the year twice, McHale and Schremp, which hints at a system that's set up to encourage and reward improvement among players.... I mean if we looking at it like you are, then how many times would have Manu Ginobili won it, how many times would have Jason Terry won it.....
So no, I'm not oblivious at all, I just look at facts before I make statements, even the ones where I have a lot of personal investment in talking about guys that I like, I don't let that sway my yapping. I look at it realistically and then make my statements, so that way if anyone wants to come argue my point, I don't have just a simple opinionated statement, but actual facts backed up by common knowledge, popular opinion and cold hard facts.
Popovich has already gone out and called Bledsoe the most underrated player in the league, and he's not the only one, and you do know what happens to guys who receive that label throughought the season, let alone this early in the season.... yea you guessed it, they end up winning 6th man of the year.... so like I said, he keeps this up, nobody is catching up to him and the award is his, well earned, well earned... because unless you're a basketball player, then you have no idea how difficult it is to go from an out of control high turnover player to an extremely efficient fine oiled machine, in just ONE SUMMER

improvement plays a factor in the sixth man of the year award but does not overshadow productivity, and bledsoe's 10 points 2 rebounds and 2 assists is not going to win him any awards. you are putting bledsoe ahead of carl landry, j.r smith and kevin martin... and i do believe jamal crawford has the capability of being the third player to win it 2 times. he is the leading scorer of the team and he's coming off the bench, his efficiency this season puts him in the 50-40-90 group which is career highs for him (improvements). imo the sixth man of the year award goes to player that is most efficient and produces the most (ex. points or a stat line that lamar had when he won it).
also, you forgot to mention that mchale and schrempf won their awards consecutively; jamal, if he does win it will be 3 years apart. and the reasons manu and jet are not winning it every year is simply because there are players that are producing better numbers than them. look at the years manu and jet won the award, they were the highest producers off the bench.

Also, I have to agree with JonWon here....Is Bledsoe capable of being a 6th man? Yes, for sure...Hell, he's capable of being an all-star in a few years if he's given the keys...but this season, there's just too much of a logjam at PG/SG in LAC...It's that simple.....20-25 minutes simply isn't going to do it....and that's going to go down, whether you want to believe it or not, when Billups comes back. Rebuttal to what exactly?
Your opinions? I dont argue opinions we all have ours, when you bring even some basic basketball knowledge to the table and some facts then we can talk.
And I'm not saying you have you or anyone has to agree with me its not about that.
Its just about common sense, I mean I basically explained to you that the 6th man of the year is literally tailored for players like Bledsoe to win it. Players who either sucked big time or are coming back from an injury to have a great season, and Bledsoe is coming off both a serious injury AND a shitty season.
And on a final note, take a look at what ballguy wrote he agrees with you about Bledsoe not winning it, but at least he understands the game and sees what Bledsoes does game is about. But you simply quoted a his stat line which actually is ridiculous for only 20 mins a game, but yea you completely fail to understand the impact beyond the stat line. Now I'm not gonna spend any time explaining to you exactly what he does that has every opposing coach in the NBA putting
His name on the white board in the locker room, go watch a Clippers game and see for yourself

i guess we agree to disagree. we both have our own interpretations of how the sixth man of the year award is chosen. you believe it is tailored for players showing improvements (most improved player award) and intangibles, and i believe it is dependent on cold hard stats; fair enough. but to act like a know-it-all and showing a complete disregard to others opinions is quite childish. and to clarify, i was never doubting bledsoe's potential to be a sixth man of the year, i was simply calling you out on why you are so confident to say that the award is already his. so how about you take me up on this bet :)

First off we just talkin here guy so relax its all good.
Secondly I'm confident its his if he continues playing the way he has because nobody is on his level of impact second unit off the bench type shit.... it can't simply be just about stats like you say, that's what I'm trying to get across to you not because its my own opinion, but that's how its actually viewed by the people involved in the process of choosing these awards.
As far as the bet, OK I'll up the ante, pick your one guy for both the 6th man AND most improved player award, and we'll judge it according to votes. Injuries and other setbacks obviously nullify the bet so if your pick gets hurt or mine bet is off..unless you wanna put your basketball skills to the test and pick another guy.

We can do the losers pitch in to buy the winner the jersey.
And to make it worthwhile like I said the authentic jersey from NBAstore.com of the winners choice, doesn't necessarily have to be of the specific player they chose.
Well judge winner according to votes in regards to the 6th man competition that's done at the end of the season. So if none of our picks win, then we go by who got the most votes after the winner

ok you know what I really like Jon's idea of picks for awards, let's go ahead and do it for the 6th man, Most Improved POY, MVP, Defensive POY, and Rookie POY....
if you guys dig it, then let's lay out our picks first and see if we conflict anywhere on them...
I think out of those the only one where we probably will end up pickin same guys is for rookie of the year, its either Lillard or Davis, so we might have to drop that one... I would have picked Drummond myself, but Lawrence Frank's rotations are suspect as of late, he's fckin everything up

Going with all the awards completely goes away from the whole original point of this....this was about putting your money where your mouth is about 6th man...that's all.
I feel EXTREMELY confident against your pick of Bledsoe; that's the only reason why I'm coming in on this...In fact, I'd be willing to bet you a shitload more jerseys that my pick gets more votes than your Bledsoe....again, no doubts about how good Bledsoe is, but the guy simply won't get nearly enough minutes to even be given serious consideration...

yea I hear ya, and my money is always in the vicinity of my mouth, lol, basketball n sports is literally the only thing I talk shit about as I think most guys do, other than that I'm a super nice guy....
but Jon has the right idea, it would be more interesting and fun to involve a bit more if we chose a few categories picked our guys then went by overall votes. And yea we should definitely do something like this every season with as many guys in here that wanna participate, make it fun.
As far as Bledsoe, the reason I'm confident he'll get the playing time is because I think you put too much faith in Chauncey, the way I see it he wont see serious playing time until before the playoffs, also Willie Green's minutes will be redistributed to Bledsoe if anything. The only time from what I've noticed this season so far and I've watched every single Clippers game including pre-season, the only time his minutes suffer is when they're playing a team with a good bigman and they need guys like Hollins and Turiaf more than Bledsoe. And this is rare, because the league is mostly about stopping the other team's guards, and this is what he does.
OK so I'm gonna lay out my picks right about now, lets see what you guys got
6th Man - Eric Bledsoe
Most Improved - D'Andre Jordan
Defensive - Serge Ibaka
I think LeBron ruins these two next ones as they're quite obvious, so I don't know maybe we could pick guys other than LBJ, like guys that we think will get second in voting
POY - Rajon Rondo
MVP - Rajon Rondo
yea that's right, I think Rondo will be close in votes in both of these

I haven't followed nba as much as I would like (new kid) but I think I'd go with these guys as favorites
6th man - Jamal Crawford or Kevin Martin (close 3rd wud be Marcus Thornton)
Most improved- jrue holiday or Paul George (closssse 3rd is Kemba walker)
Defensive- Howard or ibaka
Again, you guys have probably seen more games than me so my "picks" might be off? Lol

the Barnes GIF is even better cuz it's in slow motion, you really see the hangtime he got on that dunk....
As for the elbows, they are almost literally identical, exact same swing and connection power.... I'm sure the fact that NY is a big market team, and Chandler IS a gold medallist has something to do with him still playing the very next game... I think Chandler's is actually worse from the perspective of it just being him for fcks sake, Robinson is a gotdamn rookie, but Chandler has a monster resume... but then again maybe that's exactly why they didn't fine or suspend him, specifically because of that.....
and please nobody say anything about they had no idea where their elbow would land behind them.... both guys are close to 7 feet in shoes, 99% chance its gonna land on someones head

I just wish good success for durant and westbrook (harden before he was traded). Westbrook is really fun to watch and has the potential to take over and control games but he seems to be doing much all the time. Thunder can win a championship because of him using players around or the Thunder will lose because Westbrook is trying to do too much by himself.
For Lakers, i was a fan since the Shaq days after playing shaq fu on the snes. Having D12 and Nash on the Lakers just make me enjoy them more. :fullofwin:
More importantly it would be nice to see Lakers with more champions than the fucking boston celtics / more rings than MJ :awesom:.
