I must say that the game last night at Rogers arena certainly had a better atmosphere, and noisier fans than at a Canucks regular season game. :troll:

-got to play a one hour scrimmage with my friend, a winner in an Airmails contest, and the other winners and their guests. I got to meet former Raptor, Antonio Davis, and the Raptors commentators Matt Devlin, Jack Armstrong during the NBA Fantasy camp on Saturday morning.

At first, I thought the camp was for noobs like me in learning the fundamentals, shooting, dribbling etc. We played one game of black jerseys vs white jerseys. Thank goodness, the coaches called for subs during the games. LUL

-sat in row 6 at the game. -definitely could hear some of the knowledgeable basketball fans in my section of the arena. They knew which secondary players are good on each team.

Javale McGhee is horrible! -missed shots, free throws etc. No wonder Shaq makes fun of this dude on TNT. :lawl:

It was a night to remember. -saw six Canucks at the game: Burrows, Horvat, Markstrom, Tanev, Virtanen, and Gudbransson. Heck, even Mayor Robertson and his girlfriend sat courtside.

Burrows presented hall of fame James Worthy with a Canucks jersey near the end of the game.

Curry and Thompson played decent games. They only played the first half. KD was shooting bricks for the first possessions until he made a big dunk.

I guess all the boos and the chants of "Westbrook" affected KD's concentration. LUL

Excellent trade for Raps.
They are in win-now mode, a Clippers 1st isn't gonna move the needle within the next 2-3 years at least, if at all. It made sense in a lot of ways. Powell is developing nicely and minutes behind Derozan without Ross should help get him more in the groove.
Ross IMO was never anything special and easily replaceable, yes he exploded for 50 once but he is very inconsistent.
Ibaka finally gives them a versatile and solid starting PF playing beside JV. Patterson will very much improve the bench, he is solid but not good enough to compete with the other 4s in the league.
Only issue now is come Summer, both Lowry and Ibaka will be looking for huge contracts, will Toronto go deep into luxury tax to keep them or let 1 walk? If Ibaka turns out to be a half year rental it would really suck lol.

I'm excited to see them battle it out with Washington and Celtics now. They are that much closer to the Cavs.

Is he talented? No doubt. Shaq also called this guy out for being a hothead, for not being a leader. You hear from some coaches around the league that Cousins is "uncoachable", that he's a player who does whatever he wants on offense. Post up to score down low, or shoot 3 pointers.

A coach killer. A F-bomb throwing player who would swear at fans and yell at teammates. He leads the league in technical fouls too with sixteen.

This trade was Sacramento management's way of telling DeMarcus that enough was enough.

If things work out well with Cousins and Anthony Davis, they're a force to be reckoned with in the front court for the Pelicans. If not, Cousins could just walk away from New Orleans by not signing a contract extension.

It will be interesting to see how or if DeMarcus can incorporate his playing style with coach Gentry's fast paced system of play on offence.

There's a difference between MVP and Finals MVP, MVP is strictly regular season what the players did in the 82 games. Lebron took some games off and coasted throughout the 82 games they looked terrible heading into the playoffs. He and the Cavs flipped the switch once the playoffs started, Im sure he cares more bout Rings and Finals MVP he's already gotten 4 regular Season MVPS. I don't see how the trade benefited Celtics. Last season if Thomas wasn't injured during post season, they would have potentially made it very deep into the playoffs, possibly NBA Finals. Celtics stood no chance against the Cavs due to his injuries.

Meh I guess I'm in the minority but I felt the Celtics did fine.
They have like 20 picks or something obscene in the next 2-3 years. He had to turn that into stars now or it's gonna be a never-ending line of projects that will leave for pay days.

IT4 is 3 years older than Kyrie and he statistically had the worse defensive numbers in the ENTIRE LEAGUE, that's 360 players and he came in at #360!
He just had major hip surgery and he put up those offensive numbers on a team that had no reliable scorer, the next "threat" was Avery Bradley. He already stated he wants a Max contract next season for a 1-dimensional Nate Robinson.

Kyrie is arguable the best ball handler and one of the quickest guards in the league, that was almost as important in getting the ring as Lebron.
Getting him for IT4, Crowder who was already on the trading block due to logjam at forward (Hayward, Tatum) , an unproven rookie and 1 of the Celtics 5000 draft picks was ok in my books.

Wade - As interesting it would be to see a semi-washed up Chicagoan backcourt, it wouldn't work as they are both slashers. His ego definitely won't let him come off the bench.
Lebron - Lebron gonna Lebron
Crowder - Tenacious defender and can spread the floor more than TT with 2 slashing guards.
Love - Same as above, addresses the lack of 3pt threat in the line-up

2nd Unit: - JR and Shump can cover for IT's defensive shortcomings. TT in the paint.

I think Lonzo will be fine, Pat Bev one of the best defenders in the league baptism by fire. PG is the hardest position to transition from school to the pros like QB.
