Bottom line, loyalty means nothing to Robbers Wireless |

Yeah I upgraded from a 3g to 4s. Is the upgrade admin fee that you're referring to that $35 activation fee? I was 33 out of 36 months in my contract. I'm going to call when I get my bill to see if I can get that $35 fee removed. I'll BS and say that the store said they can't waive it but if I call customer service, they can :lol |
This is true, being nice has always gotten me what I wanted. But it just seems like they're buckling down and basically telling longtime customers to eff off |

You can look at it two different ways: 1. The way you're currently looking at it. Essentially blaming the customer base for being "spoiled" and "greedy" for credits. 2. Rogers is actually fucking everyone over because they are actually greedy and underhanded assholes who rob the general public in turn for what they offer. I'm going to stick with number 2. When you compare how much it costs to operate/maintain vs. how much they charge, you'll realize it's more number 2 than number one. Don't even get me started on how the big 3 bought up all the frequencies to gain a monopoly on the telecom business and preventing any new comers to pose a threat to their profits. |

I could be wrong since I havent really looked, but arent smart phones the bulk of what providers have available these days? Also I'm positive that they ALL require a data plan to go with it. Alot of people dont find it a necessity to have a smart phone or data hence why they would want to spend as little as possible |

Only true reason why I stuck with Robbers was because their reception is the best out of the big 3. |
I deal with people like you guys who call in to get credits, waived fees, upgrading for free (even mid contract) and they bitxh and complain about "jumping" ship.. Well guess what.. Go right ahead. Want to pay cheaper? Expect shiitier service. You get what you pay for. Now of course, this isn't true for ALL you guys, but for sure the majority. I laugh when people who already get free caller ID and messaging call in to threaten and complain. Those are the clients that can walk. Pure greed. Now, if I get a long tenure client with legitimate concerns, il def bend over backwards to help them out. Loyalty goes both ways. Posted via RS Mobile |

The following response may seem like I'm arguing with you, but I'm not I see what you mean and I get it. However in my parents' case, they've only ever called in to complain when there's been a problem with our service or our bill. We dont call in asking for more credits, however when it's time to renew, I've always asked what they can do for us, and I'm always given something, even if it's very minor. I dont sit there and beg and argue for more credits. We signed up with our plans years and years ago and have been on it ever since. Now when its time to renew my parents have basically been given the shaft. When my dad called in and negotiated a plan, whichever rep he spoke with gave him what he wanted. Then when he calls in the next day to confirm its done, there's absolutely ZERO notes about what was given/promised. This happened multiple times, and at the end, they said its too late, you're already signed in so take it or leave it. Doesnt that sound even a little bit wrong? |

also you have, I believe 14 days to back out of a contract without penalty. buyers remorse or some shit. if all else fails cancel all phones, eat the cost and badmouth rogers to anyone who has ears. |

I'm already getting free caller id, voicemail, text, early evenings and whatnot but that's not the point. Someone else is getting the same thing for even less. Stay consistent = less angry customers feeling like they're ripped off. |

The whoe thing with getting a plan your buddy has is variable. Varies on: Did they re-sign? How long been with a company? How much spend monthly? Maybe their plan was a special promotion at the time and its no longer around. Maybe you and that friend who is getting a special deal are not in the same boat afterall. As for credits... A lot of clients like to use ignorance as an excuse. H You know how many times I've heard "I didn't know using my phone in the states has roaming charges. Now I EXPECT you to clear my $150 bill" And all companies can tell if you have a habit of asking for credits. I have no issues with giving credits, but please take a little reponsibility. In the long run, as in life, when you need to ask for something, ask nicely. Posted via RS Mobile |

Fuckin jackasses |
got rogers to waive my stupid $35 activation fee, and even got them to credit me for the $6.50 HST i paid for the $50 mail in rebate. Had to speak to a manager, but if your polite and articulate you can get what you want. |

Cool. Thanks for the info. Did Rogers courier your 4s to you or did you have to go to Apple store to get one? |

Problem with my account is that I have a lot of notes on it. I think I'm in deep shit now. |

I was with rogers up until Wind Launched, so around 13 years i was with rogers, before it was good, when I call in and complained about dropped calls or no service.. they would give me a free feature or give me the month free... I think after 2004 or so, it started to get worse, when i call in the CSR would say okok we can do this... when i got the bill next month, shit happen... its a hassle to call in and say that this guy said this but nothing was written or noted down. I got fed up and told them thats its very unprofessional that they would say one thing and then something else. Told them that im a long time customer and that im happy with them and that I dont mind signing another 3 year deal. They said "Well theres nothing we can do, if you want to leave then thats your decision...." I told the guy to F*** off before he could finish talking and i switched to Wind Cant say it was a good move, reception wise, they still need a lot of work. so far they are ok, same with Mobi... i think when the spectrum bid is done, Wind and Mobi should have a better fighting chance with the poor reception, as they only have high frequency, robelus have both low and high frequency, thats why they have better reception all around.. |
