just phoned and i think i got a pretty decent plan... 55 dollars unlimited minutes. 6gb lte data unlimited text/picture msg caller id voice mail 100 international text |
Just got offered $50 for: unlimited local minutes unlimited text/picture msg 1gb data caller id voicemail 100 international text I know some people got it for $45 but I still have 2 years left on my contract. They also offered 50% reduction on my early cancellation and an iPhone 5 for full price, comes to $406 after taxes. I said :fuckthatshit: since this would renew my plan for 3 years. |
is 1 gb of data enough... see if you can get 2 gb of data. when i had my old plan with 1gb of data i called and asked if i can change it for 2gb and they said yes right away with no extra charges. |

Hmmm... Options? Should I ride out my contract or renew early...? Contract ends sept 28 2013 Currently stuck with a crap plan: Unlimited local minutes Unlimited txt Unlimited picture/video msging 1 gig data Voicemail / caller ID $65 + tax |
I would call retentions just to see what they will offer you. So far I have called three times and they keep offering me the same prepackaged plans for the same price as what my wife is paying now. If you look in this thread you will find those plans mentioned. If they offer me something worth taking, I am going to see if I can do it without extending my wife's or my contract. |
oops |
Anyone have any better luck with getting something other than the prepackaged plans? |
my contract ends in sept this year. current have: 200 mins early evening at 5 unlimited text call ID + voicemail my5 500mb data $50.xx all in. I'm currently looking for a phone upgrade and new contract in march when s4 coming out. How likely do you guys think I'll be able get new contract at that time (7months remaining) with hardware upgrade fee waived along with better contract. They are pretty stiff with waiving fees. I've been with rogers for 4yrs now. |
Just renewd my contract: 6gb data 200 daytime 2500 outgoing messages unl evening 6pm unl weekend Caller ID + voicemail And 1 time credit of the $35 + tax activation fee. 47$ |
^any tips on how you got that plan? got no luck with retention at all |

how the fuck do u guys get these plans... my dads been with rogers since rogers was called cantel and i have been with them since 04/05? i feel like im getting jipped by these fuckers. |
It's all luck to be honest. I called two different times the same day back in December and I was offered two totally different things. It just depends on the agent you get. With that being said, it's always better to have a promo plan from another carrier to refer to when you call in. |
if i wanted to do early renewal, is it better to call retention? and ask for phone and the plan? or should i goto rogers store? |

Anyways, if they charge you for a $35 activation fee, they'll say that theres no way in hell they can waive it. What you do is ask them to credit you (instead of waiving) the same amount... which they can do. |
