^It looks pretty decent but I don't really like the look of it. The one I have is black and looks something like what Kardboard has if you liked it.

Are you looking for more protection or more looks?There are a few on ebay that looks very safe but they're pretty bulky or really nice looking ones but it doesn't seem like they give much proteciton.

Looking for something slim/lightweight that provides good protection.

Its pretty much a case with a screen protector. The invisishield wraps around the entire phone pretty much and doesn't add any bulk at all. It also has a kind of tacky feel so you can hold the phone more securely

^I think my friend has invisishield for his phone. Its the stuff that feels like saran wrap but much more durable.

Anyhoot...just updated to 1.1.4 without any problems. I haven't gotten the facebook or youtube problem yet. Also does anyone know if WinSCP is compatible with 1.1.4 yet?

Why wouldn't it be? It's just SSH.

has anyone heard of getting overcharged for data for using the edge program? or something along those lines?

I am looking into getting an iphone, but heard stories of people getting overcharged for data who have plans from the Rogers network.

Yes, if you don't use EDGE at all, call Rogers and tell them to cut off access to WAP/EDGE on your SIM card.

It's a good time to get one as you'll be able to unlock it, no problem, but selling it is a different matter. The market's hard to predict. :p

I bought it from the store when they had 50% off this case is awesome!!!! No bulk!!!

I'm on Windows, have my IP right, and also selected SCP in the drop down menu.

Sorry for the trivial questions...but here goes:

Have you gone into Safari and made sure that you are fully connected to the internet and that pages actually load?

^ Yea I did, I think it might have something to do with my first load because I had just recently updated to 1.1.4

When I finished downloading OpenSSH it said it may take 30-45 seconds to first connect so I set my connection>timeouts to 60 seconds but everytime it gives me the error withing 30 seconds.

Hmm..that's about as far as I can go. I've never had any issues. I suppose your best bet is either to re-load 1.1.4 or check out the other iphone forums.

Just checking if anyone here has this problem:

Finding an unlocked wifi connection doesn't always connect. Is this normal? Some I can connect to, some I can't.

Anyone using their shaw account through rogers with the iphone? If so, what's your settings at for incoming/outgoing ips and such. I haven't been able to get my email sync'ed up yet. (even tried getting shaw's incoming info and roger's outgoing info but to no avail)

^If it's full signal strength, it should connect..if it's anything less than full, it can be iffy.
