well i got this stupid air bubble that formed on the glass and it seems that I'm not alone in having that happen.

Do you guys know anyone local that can repair iphones? I need the glass replaced I think.

Ch28 02-13-2008 09:40 PM

JackAss 02-14-2008 12:50 AM

its not just me...you should google it...a few ppl started having this problem recently as well.

when you look at it in person you can tell its not the actual screen but the glass

perhaps the bubble is under the glass but above the actual screen... but i dont know what's in that 'middle area'

laugh at me and you might jinx yourself!

Ch28 02-14-2008 11:28 AM

You sure that's not just a drop of super glue or something? :lol

stuff99 02-14-2008 02:42 PM

So anyone know of a place locally that can fix this problem?

Xander 02-15-2008 09:08 AM

So do you just drop into a applestore and pick one up?

You could do that or order it online and have it shipped to Point Roberts and pick it up from there.

wow air bubbles on a glass face. I speak highly of the QC of iphone to everyone looks like i have to take it back now.

Xander 02-16-2008 07:15 PM

So the first one I got yesterday, and it came with a dead pixel. They replaced it no problem, now I unlocked it, but I lost the installer. Please help? Goddammit, I hate being a noob.

Then un-n00b yourself with the awesome guides at ModMyiFone.com. The screenshots make the guides very easy to follow.

In your case, you have to install Installer on to it again.

Ch28 02-16-2008 08:57 PM

Hey guys, which source was it that had the installer app for the NES roms pack?

+Kardboard+ 02-16-2008 09:15 PM

More than one has them now, but the original one was the BigBoss one I believe.

Shorty20 02-17-2008 07:12 PM

Hey,

I was just wondering if 1.1.2 or even 1.1.3 is worth the upgrade right now. I'm still using 1.1.1 becuase I've heard quite a variety of mixed reports saying that the advantages arn't worth the troubles of upgrading and such.

Anyways thanks...

+Kardboard+ 02-17-2008 07:33 PM

I think 1.1.3 is a worthy upgrade. Going to try it soon and will let you all know how it goes. I'm running a 1.1.1 phone with the 3.9 baseband.

trip 02-18-2008 02:19 PM

my reception is pretty "eh" .. often calls going out keep failing and sometimes calls coming in dont even get received at all. the only way i know that someone called and it didnt ring is because i get a text saying who called.. even though there was no actual call received.

anyone else have this problem? im running 1.1.1

+Kardboard+ 02-18-2008 03:28 PM

I don't have that problem on my 1.1.1.

Jonydakiller 02-18-2008 03:42 PM

dont' bother with 1.1.3 i guess, a lot of app doesn't even work on 1.1.3, i'm at 1.1.3 so i can re-arrange the icons, but other than that, blah..plain and boring

+Kardboard+ 02-18-2008 03:47 PM

Huh, is that right? Hmm, I haven't found an idiot-proof solution to upgrade to 1.1.3, so I guess I'll hold off lol

I've never heard of this problem before. I'm running 1.1.1 and have never experienced any problems with it yet.

seriosuly?

it doesnt get more idiot proof than going installer...."soft upgrade 1.1.2 - 1.1.3"

then wait 20 mins for it to wokr and unlock.

that being said. 1.1.3 is buggy as hell, and i had to downgrade to 1.1.2 which took me quite a while =p

ur not alone, i and a couple buddies complain about this all the time. its happened since 1.0.2 and i'm pretty sure its hardware related.

LanEvoMR 02-18-2008 07:40 PM

i have a problem with my iphone:
it doesn't tell me that i have voicemails (no red dot) when clearly i have new voicemails......
i'm on version 1.1.1
anyone else have this problem? and is there a fix for this?
