Yes, I tried that, but if I turn off sounds then the phone makes no sounds whatsoever unless it is receiving a call. It doesn't vibrate when receiving SMS text.

No, it's just that one setting, not all of the sounds. Won't vibrate if an SMS comes in if you do that, eh?

the price apples sells it is 399usd.. doesn't matter whether or not the dollar is at par.. they'll nvr sell stuff for the same price 399usd=399cnd.. more like 399usd=429cnd.. and the 399usd price is basically based on you have to use it with AT&T so that's basically a price with an invisible contract. without contract the phone will be normally around 550-600 range.

Not true. There is no "invisible contract". AT&T and Apple are both selling phones without subsidy, so it's priced exactly as it should be, i.e. no "contract discounts". Normally, it's $399. :D

iPhone is not that special anymore. But I found it that it works really well with my Mac and helps me through my day... that's what matters to me.
