You still get jet lagged no matter how comfy the seats are and the AC plane the Canucks use has the old ass AC business class seats. |
1. the canucks have a chartered jet (they actually have two, if you count the Aquilini's personal... which has been rumored to be available to a handful of players). there is no checking in, no waiting for flights, no baggage check and no security. they clear customs in advance. the only thing they have to worry about is the actual flight time. 2. the canucks are prebooked months in advance for hotels. again, no checking in, no waiting for rooms, no organizing who sleeps where and with whom. 3. all nhl teams provide visiting teams with buses for travel between hotel, airport and arena. yes, travel is difficult for professional athletes, but it's part of the job... and if a player won't play for a team like vancouver because of the travel, then they obviously don't have their eyes on prize. and really, that's what it all comes down to. |

The chartered jet is an AC Jetz A320 which every Canadian hockey team uses and I think the Raptors use as well. The seat configuration is similar to the older AC business class. The Canucks had a private jet a few years back which was a 727. |
well im sick of this sundin shit |

I was fairly optimistic early on that he was going to come here. Now as ot drags on I'm pessimistic. It's just my opinion but I'd be really surprised if he chooses Vancouver over an easier travel schedule in the east. |

The latest from Eklund: "For a while now we have been hearing Vermette's name thrown around in Vancouver, but another source tells me that Afinogenov...the speedster from Russia, via Buffalo...could be the first target for those wacky Canucks..." Take it for what it's worth |
now that would be fricken sweet if we got Afinogenov. We need a goal scoreing Russian here!!! |
id rather have vermette and Afinogenov than sudin |
Afinogenov's name has been part of trade rumors for months now. Eklund has nothing new to report on Sundin so he throws Afinogenov's name out there just to get Canuck fans talking |
And we all know how dependable and accurate Eklund is. |
i feel like gillis is embarassing himself by keeping the offer on the table this long and making the canucks look desperate for a date. kind of like some desperate highschool dude with a lot of money who offers the hottest chick in the grade a totally awesome, princess style grad experience that she wouldn't get anywhere else, then she says "i'll get back to you..." and doesn't until the day before the party. |
saying "ill think about it" to 20 million dollars is the polite way of saying "no" |
exactly my point. |
