Damn I'd love to get one for my note.

Kamui712 05-10-2012 05:35 PM

anybody else have issues with their nexus not getting a 3g data connection after disconnecting from wifi?

eg. at work i'm on wifi, after leaving work the phone should go to 3g, but the signal shows as grey?

This is probably that 4.0.4 bug... any roms that have this already patched?

Currently on milestone 5

Alatar 05-10-2012 05:38 PM

I haven't noticed that issue. I'm on 4.0.1 still though. Stock, but rooted.

Honestly don't have any complaints about stock, so I haven't bothered loading a new rom on.

Kamui712 05-10-2012 06:31 PM

^ agreed, I used an old rom for a good 3 months straight will no issues. It seems the newer versions of ICS + roms all have individual issues.

One positive of the newer version of ICS though is that battery life is way better. I charge my phone once every 2 days on average.

Alatar 05-10-2012 07:39 PM

I'm usually down to 40-50% battery by the time I plug in ~10-11pm. I start my day ~7am.

I don't really need to go 2 days on a single charge. As long as I can make it through one, everything's breezy!

Yeah nexus is giving me way better battery life than my s2 did

last week my data kept dropping from waking up...was so annoyed and ready to go back to 4.0.2 but now it seemed to have fixed itself:suspicious: *crosses finger*

greyfixation 05-11-2012 02:50 PM

i gave up on m5 after a few days. was tired of constantly losing any form of signal and reverted back to b27. lol. seems a lot of people have this problem with 4.0.4

Have any of you tried roaming and placing calls with a custom rom on the Galaxy Nexus?

I used to have the issue my Nexus S and a variety of custom roms.
You can connect to the network, like at&t, but no calls would dial.

dialed plenty of times... I'm on Rogers here (AT&T in the states) on AOKP M5 (m3 I think when i made an outgoing call last time in the USA) and it was fine... messages were all good too

I really hate how Google didn't use gorilla glass on this phone. The glass is so weak I managed to get a tiny faint scratch at the very edge of the bottom left corner of the screen

This sounds like a phone setting issue.

On your dialer press *#*#4636#*#*

Then go to phone info and change your band setting.

Anyone try B36 on AOKP?

mrks 05-18-2012 11:18 AM

I finally found a root method without having to wipe the whole phone.
One click root solution.

I changed the DPI on the phone to 241 vs the stock 320.
Holy smokes is it awesome. Makes the phone so much more usable when browsing.
Especially in landscape mode, you can see the entry box
on the site instead of the blank one.

not sure if i can post this here. but...

i just bought a used galaxy nexus after i dropped and shattered my nexus s. the galaxy nexus came with a brand new in box otterbox commuter case. i have no need for it as ive already bought the defender. if anyone wants it, its $35. pm me.

Did you use a 3rd party app or directly from the ROM Control (assuming your on AOKP as well)

might be on paranoidandroid rom
which is basically true tablet mode with App Per DPI settings
its pretty cool. ive been using it for a wk now

!MiKrofT 05-21-2012 08:14 PM

You can also just install a tool to change the DPI as well.

bakasam 05-21-2012 08:31 PM

I remember using something called LCD Density or something a while back and i think it crashed my launcher to the point i had to wipe and reflash and never did it again >_>;

!Yaminashi 05-22-2012 07:24 PM

How are you guys finding battery life on the latest build of AOKP?
I'm running ARHD 4.0.1 and find it lacks customization, watched a video on AOKP and I was amazed at how much you can do with that rom.

Running rooted stock 4.0.2, no AOKP yet. Very interested in Paranoid android since it has individual DPI settings for each app.

Just using LCD Density Modder to change the DPI. Works very well for me.
