350 for galaxy nexus.. worth it ?

Graeme S 06-27-2012 12:50 AM

Very worth it.

I got mine for $400 with a case and screen protector. Practically BNIB, and I couldn't be happier without it.

US Play store is selling it for that much, but I imagine you need a US credit card even if you can get VPN/Proxy access to the store itself.

Hooooly crap jellybean is SO smooth compared to ics.
Night and day difference.

Simplex123 06-27-2012 11:39 PM

^how does it compare to the linaro optimized ROMs?

R5x 06-27-2012 11:41 PM

It shits all over all the existing roms in terms of smoothness.
I never thought of ICS as being 'choppy' by any stretch, but it clearly was compared to this.
The UI is smooth everywhere now.
No stuttering opening the app drawer, no stuttering when moving to widgets. Scrolling and EVERYTHING is smooth.
Definitely 'iOS smooth.'

!Yaminashi 06-27-2012 11:44 PM

Is it a stock jellybean rom? I wonder when other developer teams are gonna release their own jellybean roms

Tim Budong 06-27-2012 11:45 PM

Project Butter is as smooth as Linaro

although linaro is different in a sense that it optimizes the framework of ICS to run BUTTERY SMOOTH as well as PERFORMANCE increases

Its been... a lil more than 8hours since release
straight up rooted/deodexed rom is available(what I posted)

i would imagine that once the actual source code is released, then Kangs and Cyanogen will get crackin

!MiKrofT 06-27-2012 11:51 PM

The current release of jelly bean is also incomplete so not many devs are gonna work much on this release.
