Hmmm... so fido told me to go get a new SIM card. It's on them.

Question is. Would it matter if i get micro (with outter plastic attached or original SIM?

Simplex123 04-11-2012 10:58 PM

technically the same but micro-sim+plastic adapter may not fit all phones' sim slots.

I've been using a micro-sim for almost 3 years now with an adapter. Same adapter that I've had since 2010 I believe. No problems, and you know I've had over 6 different phones since then.

I'm currently using the micro-adapter with my Nexus.

But I ask this, do you have an iPhone 4? If not, then you should just buy a normal sim.

Simplex123 04-12-2012 06:15 PM

Maybe he wants to future proof it because even one x uses a micro sim

try the yakjuux 4.04 radio (or go back to an older yakjuux radio)

I find none of the yakju radios work well with our networks in Canada...always drops connection to Google services.

here's the thread with all the different radios.

Yeah, yakju 4.0.4 OTA update.

Flashing radio requires root, right?

all that's required is an unlocked bootloader and knowing how to use fastboot.

Since you said you're using a Yakju Update on your Yakjuux phone, your bootloader is probably already unlocked (unless you locked it back again)

the fastboot command you need is:
Code:

fastboot flash radio blahblahblah.img
If this is over your head, let me know and I'll type up a little guide for you.

my battery cover developed creaking above the sim card slot
is it safe for me to put a piece of paper/thin padding between the slot and the back cover...shouldn't be a fire hazard without not directly touching the battery, yeah?

It's fine. Pretty damn near impossible for a phone to be a fire hazard. If it is it won't from be a little piece of paper or padding to be the cause of it.

I have b31 installed, but after putting Sensation on my boss' Galaxy SII and noticing how smooth everything ran on it, I'm wondering if there's a smoother Galaxy Nexus rom than AOKP. Thoughts?

I'm so irritated with the B31 Rom I have right now. I downloaded it for the soul purpose of having an updated Rom Control application and it keeps force closing on me every time I try to customize.

Re-installed several times.

Hey guys I want to get a white WhatsApp icon for my lockscreen but no matter what I do there is always a black background. On my computer it shows that the background is transparent but not on my phone. It's already a PNG which is supposed to support transparency right?

Tim Budong 04-16-2012 10:32 AM

Vector / logos — WhatsApp Media Library

boom. export that to png or ico or jpg

Simplex123 04-16-2012 12:30 PM

That's where I got my icon from. I also tried inverted the colours to make the icon white. But whenever I change it to png/jpg there will be a background of white or black on my lockscreen. :S
