^B29 has bugs in lockscreen that result in soft brick. If you can live without changing the lockscreen wallpaper or the lockscreen icons, go for it.

looks like im holdin off on build29

Anybody having issues with receiving MMS?

!MiKrofT 03-31-2012 01:10 PM

Running Android Revolution 3.0 based on 4.0.4 now. Did the lazy man's upgrade. Was running 2.1.5 before.

Nandroid backup, run super wipe to erase everything, install new bootloader/radio, install 4.0.4 rom, nandroid advanced restore data, wipe cache and dalvik.

So far so good.

bobbyhill 03-31-2012 05:44 PM

general question.

whats the benefit of using CWM over something like ROM Manager?

ROM manager is only a frontend type of interface for CWM. Rather than add another layer of complexity I'd rather just boot into CWM myself. Also doing things in Rom Manager sometimes doesn't work.

from android revolution HD to AOKP milestone 4 ROM .

will play around with it tomorrow and report back.

b28 is supposedly to be a bit better.

yuusha 04-01-2012 10:06 AM

^ It is. No-wipe update I think from M4 to B28. I'm waiting on B30 since 4.0.4 is wipe update.

Anyone flash the new bootloaders and radio yet?

!MiKrofT 04-01-2012 12:08 PM

^Already on them. Flashed them at the same time I loaded arhd 3.0. So far so good. Though the radio is meant for the European market. Will see how it goes for the next few days.

Armind 04-01-2012 03:13 PM

uhhh which radio are you guys using?

!MiKrofT 04-01-2012 03:35 PM

XXLA2 radio with 4.0.4 bootloader. Here's a link to the CWM package that will update both:

i just notice in the stock alarm clock there's no alarm for preset times? (ie 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour)
they come in handy for naps...instead of having to set the time you want it to ring

Will this affect anything with AOKP milestone 4/franco?

Stock Google app never had preset ones.

Should work just fine. I flashed it on my phone when I only had 4.0.2 with Faux's kernel.

Simplex123 04-01-2012 09:03 PM

I've been using AOKP B29 for a few days now and it has been fine up until today. The lockscreen started glitching and would get stuck sometimes when I try to unlock the phone. Sometimes it would not even respond but I know that the phone is still on because when I receive messages the notification light still blinks. i've had this problem on past builds as well.. Not sure what is wrong because I do a clean install everytime.

Simplex123 04-01-2012 09:06 PM

Downloading LiquidSmooth v1.25 to test now. Let you guys know how that goes.

Newest UGLC1 radio out from the YAKJUUX 4.04 OTA (IMM48):
xda-developers - View Single Post - [Radio] (GSM) Galaxy Nexus I9250 Baseband dumps collection & discussion

For those of you thinking about flashing the complete YAKJUUX 4.04 OTA, it looks like NFC is missing from it.
So instead, I flashed the YAKJU 4.04, and then the UGLC1 radio

The radio that came with the YAKJU release is kinda flaky, I kept losing connection to Google services (probably because it's a European radio).

PS: It looks like our updates for our YAKJUUX devices will be pretty timely after all :)

!MiKrofT 04-02-2012 01:51 AM

Hmm. I've been using the European radio for 2 days now and it's been pretty good for me. Guess I'll try this one after a few more days of usage.

Here's what I see for NFC:

Edit. Spoke too soon. Woke up and saw that it had encountered a disconnect/reconnect during the night. My provider name gets all messed up when this happens. Flashed the UGLC1 radio now.

cellco 04-03-2012 10:30 AM

Anyone manage to get the 4.0.4 update without flashing?
I am still stuck on 4.0.1....

Armind 04-03-2012 02:01 PM

This phone by far has the most shitty reception of all phones i've owned.

hongy 04-03-2012 02:04 PM

What carrier are you with? And I don't think any phone will ever beat a nokia in terms of reception. Dream phone= Nokia reception+ old dumbphone battery life.

!MiKrofT 04-03-2012 02:31 PM

I don't find the reception any better or worse than any of the phones I've owned.

Armind 04-03-2012 02:37 PM

I'm with Fido, everytime i wake up my phone it's in E
