My only point ever was that macdonalds as a restaurant doesn't "kill your heart".

That's it.

If you want to bulk or cut or whatever, I'm not going to tell you what to eat or not eat.

But if you are worried about your blood profile, it doesn't matter where you eat, it matters what you eat.

Shit
My tip about 2 can dine derailed this thread sorry guys

RRxtar 12-18-2012 11:09 PM

eating a nice steak and home cooked food doesnt cost as much as everyone seems to think

I can make a steak, pasta, and a salad at home for cheaper than what i would spend at mcdonalds.

and as far as being jelly of not being on poverty meal time, im jelly of you 20 year olds with peak test and gh pumping thru you. you'll be on that steak time soon enough, but i missed the best lifting years.

Meowjin 12-18-2012 11:16 PM

you can buy a sirloin log, for 70 dollars.

J.C 12-18-2012 11:27 PM

i love mcdonalds

RRxtar 12-18-2012 11:29 PM

Marketplace IGA often puts their family packs (about 1kg) of top sirloin strip steaks on for $13.21/kg. When they do I buy all of them and freeze them when I see them. Comes out to like $5 for a good meal size of meat. Throw some pasta and a salad in there and you've got a solid well balanced nutritious meal for like $7.

Or buy a whole roast and get the butcher to cut it.

Bone in skin on chicken thighs are like $6/kg.

And if you dont have 2 tupper wares full at all times of cooked up lean or extra lean ground beef or ground sirloin in your fridge to throw on pasta, tacos, salad, eat it on its own, whatever, you're doing it wrong.

nns 12-19-2012 06:32 AM

I'm doing it wrong.

Marioo1991 12-19-2012 06:46 AM

Ya, IGA and Safeway regularly put their steaks on sale for like $4.99/lb ($11/kg) for top sirloin. They are also usually a grade higher than Pricesmart and Superstore (AAA vs AA).

Chicken (from whole roasting chickens to legs to thighs) regularly go on sale for $1.99/lb in the various supermarkets nearby ($4.40/kg), and that's when I usually stock up. This week Pricesmart has chicken drumsticks for $1.99/lb.

I buy everything from costco. I usually buy a huge sirloin or whatever log cut it up into individual steaks marinate it with olive oil, oregano, salt, pepper, paprika and put it in my little toaster oven. after it's cooked an rested a squeeze of lemon juice.

you don't resemble the normal population.. also a genetics and your age have to do with a lot with how your body reacts to the garbage you listed that you eat. Also, body fat % does not mean you are healthy. An anorexic bone rack isn't what you would call "healthy, and fit". So because your body fat percentage is low, and you are able to eat all that crap, doesn't mean you aren't high risk of a heart attack by age 40.

hal0g0dv2 12-19-2012 08:18 PM

Yes and having muscle at 10 percent body fat is allot diff being skinny and eating crap food zero fucks given

Alot of us can get away with eating shit food cause we work out 5x a week and active

I agree, I see a lot of men in their 40's here that have that "pregnant male" look, and you just know they were skinny as fuck all their lives... then BAM... pregnant! :lol

well for me, staying off barbell and doing dumbbells for like 2 months really brought down the weight i could lift for barbell. But when i started doing barbell, the numbers skyrocketed... I could go back to doing dumbbells again, but my gym only has 100's...
