umm good question
maybe 2-3 hard core training

!Yaminashi 09-12-2010 07:37 PM

I dunno about you guys but I find it really hard to get my arms bigger. No matter what I do, but I watched a video on youtube, (cant remember the uploader) but I did what he said..

When I worked my arms today I went with lighter than usual weight, and made sure that I wasnt using ANY other part of my body to lift the weight other than my biceps.
I see alot of guys doing curls but using their body to help them out.

Hopefully doing this continually helps? or would you say alot of it depends on genetics/your muscle structure?

As some of the previous people have posted, it really depends on YOU, your workout and your goal. But keep in mind, don't go off having a 5 minute break between sets. As I see this a lot at my gym when people like to chat away with and take 25+ minutes on a bench press, etc.

Well actually... if you want the most increase in strength gains, you'll wait 5 minutes between sets.

Depends on what you're after - do you want the puffy look of body builders or do you want dense muscle?

Doing what you're doing will give you a pump and make your arm muscles bigger no doubt, but it's likely to be more sarcroplasmic hypertrophy (defined as your muscles getting bigger without more strength gains due to increased size of muscle cells) than myofibrillar (you get greater strength due to denser muscles, but the size of muscle won't grow as much).

That's my long winded way of saying body builder (sarcroplasmic) or brad pitt in fight club (myofibrillar)?

i always do like a mass " meat " i call it lol like staple for size of the triceps excersise? it could be close grip bench jm press or skull crush but i always do one heavy ass exercise at the starting for triceps, then after that its 3-4 more of various stuff, rope pull down one hand behind the head
http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_...uilder_triceps really good article on triceps, dc5 watch those 2 videos, the one with the bar underneath his head is money

I know. It's fucking boring. I settled for 3 minutes as a compromise, but it's boring as hell.

Finishing up my "get ready" weeks today. I'll see if I can skip a rest day so I can get right into proper work asap. So stoked :D

RRxtar 09-12-2010 08:40 PM

nice

SkinnyPupp 09-12-2010 08:42 PM

1 week into my 'real' work I'll be in Thailand for a week. Sheratons usually have good gyms though, so I'll be OK as long as I can keep from being too distracted ;)

I checked, and I will only have to do 2 workouts there so I should be good

RRxtar 09-12-2010 08:45 PM

dont get distracted by the tranny hooker lady boys. ;)
