So I check my credit card statement, got dinged from the apple iTunes store many times...I don't even know what these charges are :fulloffuck: cause I never bought anything from iTunes :suspicious:

Has this happen to anyone before?

Those charges look like it it may be in app purchases because most apps are less then $4.99. Do you have other idevices and use the same itunes account which in app purchases are enabled? You should also change your itunes password as mentioned above.

Yup my password has been changed already.

I have an iPad also, but it's only used for web browsing.

As for my iPhone, I rarely play any games on it, and I don't even bother with in app purchases.

I will call apple to see what they say about it.

If not then I'll follow it up with a call to visa.

How to Get Better iPhone 5 Battery Life

I was just reading around.. apparently people experiencing bad battery life are all people who did restores from iCloud or iTunes.

For me, didn't hurt to try, it did improve, i was able to make it through a day without recharging. I think it is something software related when doing a restore.

SkinnyPupp 09-30-2012 10:00 PM

What happened to iphone 5 having LTE time at par with 3G?

LiquidTurbo 09-30-2012 10:09 PM

I don't even bother to use LTE.. 3G HSPA+ seems to be plenty fast for mobile use.. (600kb/s)

LTE for me is about 6MB/s...

Did you drain it down to 0% after the reset like the articles says to?

dangonay 10-01-2012 08:51 AM

LTE coverage isn't that great. When driving I notice my iPhone constantly switching from 3G to LTE depending where you are. This has a significant affect on battery life if you're in an area where the LTE signal isn't that strong.

That said, I never turn off LTE or Bluetooth and my 5 lasts the same as my 4S did, which is basically the whole day.

LTE near Broadway/Cambie.

LTE at home.

3G at home. Surprised at the download speed.

LTE got worse for me heading east. I was around renfrew broadway area. It was switching back and forth on 3g and LTE.

Cassijon 10-01-2012 10:03 AM

lol. i turned my phone off then on and my battery life went up 4%

bigzz786786 10-01-2012 10:18 AM

my mom ordered her iphone5 and went to fido to pick it up, they said they cant give her the phone because she doesn't have a data plan. fucking lame

c3m 10-01-2012 11:26 AM

^ If your mom is getting a subsidized iPhone 5 then a data plan must be part of her monthly bill. Same for every network. Only way to get iPhone 5 without data plan is to pay the full price for it, in which case you'll be better off getting it directly from the Apple website.

As mentioned above it's mandatory to have data and her voice and data plan must be at least $55 a month to get any subsidized iPhone.

just to clarify, its a min of $55 a month (not including credits)

Sky_High 10-01-2012 02:50 PM

Does anyone know if ordering unlocked ones online will still be a 3-4 week delay as stated on their site?
Or has the (realistic) shipping time improved due to order's being cancelled, some people end up buying locked carrier ones, etc?

Mikli 10-01-2012 03:39 PM

Apple is quite accurate with their estimated time. You will get a message when they ship yours.

yoursyumiko 10-01-2012 04:03 PM

Any one has bad signal/reception on the 5 with Fido? Fido has been always full bar at my house for all other phones. But my i5 only has 2-3 bars at home.
