When I run in 4G, my batter doesnt last the day... keeping it in 3G and its 30% drained over 7-8hrs...

way2quik 04-08-2013 05:07 PM

I've flashed PA, CM, and AOKP.
The next time I decide to flash something, it'll be back on PA, or stock (rooted).
I really see no significant difference in battery life between all these roms and all the kernels I've flashed. When I say significant, I mean 2-3 hour difference on 3G.

hey guys you know what... my ass just itches so goddam hard

ive been watching nexus 4 vids all day and think i can't take it anymore, i'm gonna pull the trigger.

i will still keep my s3, when i KNOW i will be on the phone a lot aka when i go to school (lol) or on a trip or something.

this may sound like a noob question, but are the sim card sizes about the same? i want to be able to switch from phone to phone without much hassle

Graeme S 04-08-2013 11:58 PM

A microsim is a microsim is a microsim.

insomniac 04-08-2013 11:58 PM

Sim card size is the same!

3 types of most common sims card:

Standard, Micro, Nano

S3 and N4 uses micro
So yes, you can swap between S3/N4 with 1 sim!

GF cracked front glass after 1 month of use (human error).

Google's aftercare services SUCKS. Only directs you to LG.

LG: Can't quote you. Send it in (you pay shipping). We will check and quote you.

Anybody that fixed it how much it is locally? Probably get her to take it to JP celluar, but somehow feels stupid spending 100-175$ fixing the glass when the phone costed ~300$. Sigh.

Psykopathik 04-10-2013 07:41 AM

If it still works don't fix it. Friend crack her iphone4 screen for the longest time and it sitll works. Just put a screen proctector on.

I don't know why the battery issue for you guys is so severe, but I find the battery life on my N4 to be very very satisfactory. So far I have never had the battery run to less than 50%, even with extended data/wi-fi use; I haven't used any roms or custom kernels either, I'm just using what I've had the whole time since I took mine out of the box :suspicious:

Has anybody picked up the wireless charger? Any good with a case on?

Your usage is probably quite light compared to everyone else.

insomniac 04-14-2013 09:05 PM

im running the mysterious-aokp-mako rom right now and getting amazing battery life.
its noticeable that the battery percentage drops when in idle but i always leave my 3G on. these are my battery stats of the past two days. im on the roms kernel and havent flashed franco in yet!

Oem bumper, Ringke fusion, Ringke slim, poetic borderline slim. There's probably some others. I've got a spare fake bumper and a poetic borderline if ya want.

Im running XtremeGuard Full body protection with OEM case

yameen 04-15-2013 10:30 AM

had the nexus 4 for almost half a year now and just oem bumper with no screen protector. put keys in by accident a few times in the same pocket and still no scratches.

Drow 04-15-2013 05:25 PM

i ordered the nexus 4 orb... then proceeded to read reviews on forums about it, 90% which were negative.

almost all complaints were pointing to the phone actually slipping when placed on the orb... with some other complaints that the phone will stop charging midway etc.

immediately tried to cancel the order within 5-6 hours (this was during the weekend) but google told me it was too late.

now i'm given the option to "refuse delivery", by posting a note on my door saying im refusing it and the shipper would return to the sender?

has anyone dealt with that process before? i'll be at work during the scheduled day of delivery and i dont know... if i was the UPS guy i will just pocket the package and say " i never saw any gay note on their door "

worried :(

I'd be worried about that working as well.. I think your best bet is to just try and sell it afterwards

!Yaminashi 04-15-2013 05:51 PM

Wow, sounds like Google didn't think this out very well.
Selling an orb that doesn't really work with the phone the way it's supposed to

Graeme S 04-15-2013 05:51 PM

I got a nillkin slim case for $10. I also got two hardcore armour cases from ebay. Nillkin is my preferred one still.
