Well all PS3's can play PSX games, on my slim the Memory Card Utility is labeled (PS/PS2) so yeah. And there's a rumour that Sony is going to make software backwards compatibilty for PS2 games but that's doubtful.

i have my hdmi connections to my ps3 and 360 on game mode. for cable i turned it off.
i don't find that there's THAT much of a difference, i don't quite know how to explain it haha. it does go a little darker but it seems crisper to me if that makes any sense...
but then again there are also other settings that could play a part in how dark/bright the picture is on your TV.

^ there are specific updates for games, not just the ps3 system update. if the game has a new version then it'll prompt you and let you download and install it. you can ignore it and just play the game, but obviously you won't have whatever they've patched up or added to the game.

My controllers all fucked up now too, when I hit the button to turn it on it doesn't connect to my PS3, it just sits there blinking all 4 lights. even after I turn the PS3 on manually I have to plug the controller in for it to connect, and it disconnects when I unplug it, it I hold the PS button to turn it off it flips off before I finish hitting the turn off button and the screen tells me to connect the controller.

This is all on my 2 month old Slim and Dualshock 3 :(

I was only 1 bar down when Uncharted froze, later I turned it back on but it would only sync up when plugged in so I played the last 4 chapters like that, then after I finished the game it was still messed up. I tried it in another PS3 and it was all weird, when I turned off the other PS3 the controller stayed lit as player 1 and turned on my Slim :S. But oddly now it works fine, which is good because my only real concern was that my Slim was messed but I guess it's fine.

This happened to me too on my 2 month old slim as well. My controllers are fully charged. I turned on my ps3 using the controller but it kept on blinking. I thought it was odd so I I plugged in the usb cable to sync the controller, it recognized it right away but when I took the usb cable out, it started to blink again. I figured out that if you manually turn off the ps3 then turn it on again with the controller if this happens then it'll work. I wonder if this has to do with the recent firmware upgrade because thats when it started after I upgraded the firmware and there were no problems at all prior to that

Demon's Soul's. Although I warn you, its not for everyone. The first 10 or so hours of the game is the learning curve, and you're going to die. A LOT.
In the end, its an awesome action RPG, don't expect a super intense story though. Watch a review on youtube if you aren't too sure!

for those that have a ps3 slim and are having the connection issues with their controller not syncing up, try downloading firmware 3.15. Its not a mandatory update but ever since I upgraded the firmware, I havent had any connection/syncing issues :thumbsup:

Apparently right now,, my ps3 just got yellow light of death.. after playing some RES 2 purchased off psn store. First time ever experiencing it, so any suggestion of what I should do? I want a Cheapest way to get it fixed. Don't really want to get sony of paying $150. Anyone had this problem before?

Thought I could get it repaired and save my ps3 since I loved the backwards compatability but after it was fixed, a week later, same thing happened, the repair guy fixed it once again and it YLOD 1 day later. He gave me a 6 month warranty and said if it failed twice after fixing it then he would refund my money. Thats what ended up happening and I bought a 120 gig slim.

I believe they give u a reburbed one. So back up your shit. All the restricted game saves are done. you'll have to start off fresh again :(. Thats what happened when i backed up my ps3 and transfered to the slim. Had to restart a few games all over

so I have a nokia bluetooth headset thats compatible with the ps3. Its the bh-320. I searched, found, paired, and adjusted the audio settings on it and was able to hear myself inside the headset and through the tv speakers. I was playing a game online and saw the icon stating that I had a headset but noone or myself could hear what I was saying. Anyone know whats wrong?

EDIT: N/m it was working, I guess you shouldnt be able to hear yourself in your desired output selection. A few people said they could hear me so its all good.

That is a big deal, those are 3 of the best PS3 games! There's no reason to choose a slim over the old model, and in fact I think the Slim looks incredibly ugly

so you want to change just the wallpaper and keep the original icons? if so just resize the misa campo picture to 1920 x 1080 and slap it on to a flash drive and transfer it to the ps3. But if you dont have one, upload it on the net and use the browser on the ps3 to find and save it.

You can try switching the frequency on your router, it probably won't make much difference though. Best bet would be to, if you have the option, drill a hole in the floor near the wall and run a cable down to go wired.

I've only played deathmatch once for uncharted 2, I've always played co-op and survival.
