Anybody try the UFC Undisputed 2010 demo? You need to get a code from http://community.ufcundisputed.com/ to download it.

Submissions are way too hard to do against the CPU in this game. They got rid of the button mashing for submissions so you have to be more technical in the game. Submission transitions are pretty cool. So far I've only done it with Shogun (triangle to armbar).

Starting with the release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the publisher will introduce a new Online Pass, a one-time registration code included with each brand new copy of the game. The code allows players to access "online services, features and bonus content."

Those who purchase the game used can buy an Online Pass for $10 or sign up for a free 7-day trial. The pass will be implemented for NCAA Football 11, NHL 11, Madden NFL 11, NBA 11, FIFA 11, and EA Sports MMA as well. The pass offers different features for each title, however, players will not have access to basic multiplayer features if purchased used.

"You will be unable to play multiplayer online game modes or use your downloaded content in online game modes," EA says. Online leagues, dynasty and franchise modes are also only available with the Online Pass. The break down for each title can be seen on the publisher's official website.

"This is an important inflection point in our business because it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhance premium online services to the entire robust EA SPORTS online community," said Peter Moore, President of EA SPORTS.

Despite being the leader in used game sales, retailer GameStop, which acknowledged it plans to focus on digital content in the future, supports Electronic Arts' new direction.

"GameStop is excited to partner with such a forward-thinking publisher as Electronic Arts," said Dan DeMatteo, Chief Executive Officer of GameStop Corp. I think EA is trying to get a piece of pie in the used game industry.

But imo, there are much easier way to do this without upsetting (which their current method does) their client base.

Just make the game relatively cheap (say 30 bucks or even free for some online-heavy games) and charge a 20 bucks fee to all online playing feature as "service maintenance fee and not transferable" to each player.

For EA, they get more revenue (a game transferred ownership will be 30+[20*n] with n being the time online subscription being added, assuming at least 1 owner adds online playing, they are revenue neutral) , while gamers enjoy the saving depending on how they play them.

go to rogers plus in surrey 103rd and 152nd. It's closing down. You can pick up any 2 used games for $25. They have AC2 and some other decents titles. Anything 19.99 and under is 2 for $10. Hope that helps :thumbsup:

some EB might still let you do that if you can find the right turd (i mean games :p) EB is very slow at reacting the promotion, some were able to T2+$/T3 for any title at the same price.

Or find 2 decent game around $10~20 has TIV close to $20 and do PT + GG for July (2 of them). Once you played with GG, return it for credit and you should have enough credit toward RDR with your credit.

hint : CSI : deadly intent ($10 @ some zellars) with TIV 18.5 and Lego Rockband ($18 if you PM BB at FS). $36 x 1.5 = $54 wich is close to what RDR is.

Well, but lots of trouble doing it that way. :D

Or find a BFBC2 (most wanted this month) which PT with GG on Transformer for $60. You might be able to get BFBC2 used around $30~$35 or less.

Demon Souls' is a winner if you want a challenge...first boss...u will die 100% guarantee, but the game has awesome graphics and is actually fun to play after awhile if you have the balls to play it in the beginning. $29.99 is worth it...i got mine for like $40

I used to hesitate with all new games over $50~60. I used to only buy games when they come down to $20 or so after a year except MW. Now I realized that I can enjoy all the new games when they come out for under $30, I am happy. :thumbsup:

I had few hours in single player mode and 10~20 minutes in Multiplayer on PS3. I must say, it's a pretty good game. Control is practically identical to MW2, very easy to get use to.

Graphic is a little too compliate for me and the ammo supply is difficult to find sometimes. But because there's pratically no learning curve, I started to like the game after 20~30 minutes or so. The only complain is it's only 720p.

MP is pretty good too. But I don't like that it takes a little longer to kill an enemy than MW2.

Coming from a die hard MW/COD player, I actully want to finish this game. :thumbsup:

nah, many tried, EB wouldn't do PM.

It's sold out because of their Game Guarantee and Power Trade combined made most gamers order 2+ copies from them. I did 2, someone on rfd did more than 4+.

then you did it wrong. unless you use some no clean flux nd get ital under the chips, it wont last. if you use the flux properly, it will hold.for a very long time

you do the same stuff, except you flow some no-clean flux (you can get it from an electronics parts store) under the chips first. this cleans the solder connections and allows it to reflow much better, and make it more stable in the long run.

any store you take it to that's any good, will be doing the same thing (the only better method requires a verrrry expensive machine to do).

If I had enough interest at once, I could make a trip to Van and pick up several consoles, bring them back and fix them all, then return them... Or if someone from RS is coming up here.

$150 means 6 games worth $8 TIV in EB. If you do it right, 6 games are around $60~90 to obtain. If you have some games already, it will make it easier.

If you can find something good in Rogers for 3 used games @ $25, then best case scenario is, you only need to spend $50. It was easy last week, but it might be a little difficult now. But finding games aside, if you have some games you dont want or wouldn't mind getting it back later for cheaper, it's a pretty good promotion from EB.

USB hub is cheap on DX. I missed my card reader, but I can live with extra usb attach to it.

It's just an option, dont consider it if you don't want to waste your time looking for games. :p

Yea use mkv2vob. Make sure you set it to FAT32 so it can split the files up for you. I am not aware of getting around the size, its just a limitation of FAT32.

easiest way is to set your PC up as a media server, and stream the movie over your network.

Basically, install this onto your PC:

This will convert the movie on the fly (while you watch). The best part is it can do multi-channel audio!

The only limitations are:
- You need at least a Core2Duo processor to stream HD content to your PS3
- Wifi connected PS3s can only do up to 720p before you start running out of bandwidth. (wire it in!)
- You still can't fast forward at crazy speeds, but you can scene jump (press square). or if you're patient, 2x FF/RW works.

I think you missed the point.
With the media server, you no longer have to convert mkvs (or any format) to work with ps3, nor do you have to file split into 4gb sizes

But whatever works for you.

Yes PS3MS is good, but I have had it cut out on me. Although I'm not too sure you even know what you're talking about, I've run 1080p over wifi using a Sempron 3800, and the PS3 fast forwards at 1.5x, then jumps to 10x, there is no 2x option...

Yes PS3MS is good, but I have had it cut out on me. Although I'm not too sure you even know what you're talking about, I've run 1080p over wifi using a Sempron 3800, and the PS3 fast forwards at 1.5x, then jumps to 10x, there is no 2x option...

I typed that without having my PS3 sitting in front of me, so you'll have to excuse that i don't remember what speeds the PS3 fast forwards at :blushsmile:. My point still remains the same - You can't fast forward at the faster speeds (which is nothing new for those of us used to watching MKV rips on the PS3)

There are several reasons why yours might work, and mine didn't
1) You're using a low bitrate 1080p rip.
2) You reduced the transcoding and audio quality.

I have a ShuttleXP (AthlonXP 1.x GHz, 1GB Ram) which I tried streaming 1080p from and the only way to make it work with no stutter was with a the lowest transcoding quality and no multi-channel audio - Why you'd want that from a 1080p source is beyond me. However, 720p works fine with no quality sacrifices.

I have never experienced a disconnect, but then again, I'm wired in, and not using Wifi.

HDCP...check if his monitor has it..if not he's sol
and if it cant support 1920x1080 res or higher it might look stretched...or even have ugly black bars

His monitor both supports 1920x1080 & is HDCP compliant. So is mine, luckily :D

^ exactly. you'll need to hook the audio to something else tho (unless it goes through a reciever on the way to the screen), using the SD A/V cable you can get 2 channel out on the RCA's, just configure it to send the audio out that way in the settings.

You guys hear about EA packaging a slimmed down version of NBA Jam on for ps3 and xbox that comes only with NBA Elite (NBA Live's new name)? :lol so sad because they know that 2k11 with jordan is going to kill them so they're doing whatever they can to sell elite. i can't connect to 90% of the servers in different games
