heavy rain is getting good reviews, tried the demo, its a decent quick time event game.

presentation and atmoshphere feels great, the game engine is amazing......

however im not forking $60 for this, its a rental at least, until the game's price goes down to $40 or becomes a greatest hits title

haha, its not that bad, you can easily run thru the game in a couple of hours

Just picked up heavy rain at gamestop and got the DLC bonus with it. Is it just me, or whenever I pick up games in here, There is no inside art covers.. like when you open the case where the cd and manuals are at, supposedly there is some nice art printed on the inside as well (double side print). The US version all have inside art covers in it. Games like Uncharted 2, WKC, Heavy rain etc. Mine is just completely blank white. Is not a big deal, but I'm a collector. Is good to have it nonetheless, because some of the art covers inside are real nice. I find that stupid how they don't print it for Canada.

I'm really liking Heavy Rain so far. Although it is kind of slow at the start, I do find that it's well done in order to create emotion and connection to the characters. One thing that bothered me is that the characters go right through each other during one of the cut scenes at the police station which is kind of messed up

I thought it was pretty good. The only bad thing is if you level up wrong you're fucked. I didn't level up my guys properly and now I'm stuck at one part. Quit the game and moved one to Valkriya Chronicles. I'll revisit DAO in the summer.

Glad I just rented it and didn't buy it cuz it didn't' take me long to finish, still debating if I'd play it through again.

Despite this i still thought it was a pretty good game with a great story, it kept me guessing and was really well done. Worth the play through.

WKC is definitely one of those games that is a "grind" if you want to have the best in-game items. Single player was decent, and could get a little confusing at times. Multiplayer consist of GeoRama and Questing, pretty much. Questing is another extension of the single player quests/storyline with a little twist. Probably spent 10-16hours total.

^ for the most part I read the thoughts...I don't think it really matters whether you do or not though. it just gives u an idea/hint in some situations, but for the most part it just tries to get you into the characters head/pov

PSN Error Update

As you may be aware, some customers have been unable to connect to the PlayStation Network today. This problem affects the models other than the new slim PS3.

We believe we have identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system.

Errors include:

* The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000.
* When the user tries to sign-in to the PlayStation Network, the following message appears on the screen; “An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)”.
* When the user tries to launch a game, the following error message appears on the screen and the trophy data may disappear; “Failed to install trophies. Please exit your game.”
* When the user tries to set the time and date of the system via the Internet, the following message appears on the screen; “The current date and time could not be obtained. (8001050F)”
* Users are not able to playback certain rental video downloaded from the PlayStation Store before the expiration date.

We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data. (!)

As mentioned above, Please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologise for any inconvenience caused

The quality is quite good even when the files are down to 3.99GB, for larger ones (my copy of Transformers) I used PS3 Media Server to send the file to the PS3 (the Playstation can hold files larger than 4GB, but only supports FAT32 via USB which has a max file size of 4GB)

sometimes (and I mean very rarely) you can fix this be either reseating the HDD, or by entering the service menu and running through all the options (google how to get to the service menu). but the backwards compatible 80GB/old 40GB are the most prone to laser death.

No there's certain requirements for the PS3, I usually just search "<movie title> PS3" and find a hit that's 3.99 or 4GB and has stuff about being PS3 compatible in the descriptions. The best part of PS3 Media Server is that it can encode on the fly and only re-encodes if needed, so if you bring that up but select copy instead of play on the PS3, then it will copy over the movie in a format playable by the PS3.

That's a MGS4 limited edition Hagane PS3.

For phat PS3, you have in that color, white and black.

For Slim, there are only black and white (FF13 limited edition)

There's always colorware.

10 hrs of gameplay...I'm 3.5 hrs in and I'm just about to fight chapter 2's boss (not giving anything away, no names) lol. I wonder how many chapters there are in total. Titan difficulty is pretty intense I've died 76 times according to my game stats

HOLY SMOKES the graphics is the best i've seen yet (opening scene was action packed too)..gaming footage not cutscenes.
i was surprised this game didn't have like 5-6GB install, none at all.
i remember 1&2 didn't have chapter select, doesn't seem like this one has it either? I feel like this game is worth going for the platinum since you can get it in one playthrough and I want to grab all the gorgan eyes what not but at the same time don't want to spoil things by following a guide. So chapter select would be helpful here...

from what i'm reading the physics isnt too great and all karts have the same specs so it's all up to the driver's skills...and ricing your karts out lol

and there's no battle mode like DK racing where you duke it out in an arena

The SSFIV stick is one to wait for if you dont already have a TE stick though.
Its slimmer and a bit shorter then the 1st run ones iirc.

Multiplayer Stats save onto the Network on their side not yours so thats safe. I actually did Gilksys Fix myself and it worked....for 2 minutes...then it died again. Must try it one more time or else its Slim time.

stats are on their end for cod..not sure about ffxiii since it's an offline game. Same gamesaves are "copyrighted" and cannot leave your original HDD for stupid reasons

a harddrive is locked to the PS3 it was formatted in, you can't move it to another console. As far as selling them broken, check the what they're going for on ebay and sell it on htere if you can. Or if you have a way to get it to Kelowna I can fix it for you, pull your saves off (if you so like) and then you can sell it.
