sorry to tell you this but there is no way you can unlock this phone. you can buy a turbosim/hypercard thing on criags for about 100$ that bwill let you use it on rogers/fido here

yea...and there is no software unlock yet... only supersim unlock

supersim unlock costs you 160 in stores
and software unlock is not available yet. but when it's available, it should be only 35 bucks, you'd rather wait...heard it's gonna be software unlockable this week

You don't have to. Re-virginization is only for anySIM-unlocked 1.02 phones.

i keep hearing from random people that they are going to sell the iphone in canada, is this just speculation?

YES! they might make an announcement about a canadian release at mac world in january but i highly doubt it. until rogers decides to lower the price of their data plans don't expect it anytime soon.

dont expect it for awhile, apple is going to bring there iphone to europe, and hit asia first THEN come to canada, they said that canada just doesnt have enough people who would buy it so they gotta go to the countrys that are gonna make them some money first.

good, as soon as i hear them releasing it in canada im going to sell mine.

I am currently using a 1.1.1 Unlocked iPhone. However, I want to upgrade to 1.1.2, and use this guide...

So, I was wondering if this guide is only for otb iPhones, or is it okay to use it with unlocked 1.1.1 iPhone? Also, do I need to check bootloader version or jailibreak the 1.1.1 firmware if this guide works with my 1.1.1 unlocked iPhone?

You can't unlock otb 1.1.2 iPhones, so that guide is for unlocked 1.1.1 iPhones. It'll work for sure.

Then...I was curious about the limited disk space for 3rd applications, so I went to try the method on this website

I typed all the commands as follow in the terminal. After that I reboot my iPhone, and all the icons in my spring board are gone!!

So, I was wondering how to fix it..

On the link, it says If something goes wrong, and your iPhone/iPod Touch repeatedly reboots or there are no icons on the SpringBoard, do one of the following: SSH into your device (if you have OpenSSH installed — see “Manually installing applications” on our Applications page for more info on how to SSH into your device) and re-enter that command: ln -s private/var/root/Applications /Applications

Restore your iPhone/iPod Touch using iTunes and try again (third-party applications will be lost).

So, I was wondering, how to ssh into my device, so that I am able to type that command to get all the icons back again?
