anyone got the guide to change the carrier text? i know how to change the carrier logo.. but then we ain't on AT&T so that doesnt really apply to us ~ since we are only showing a text saying roger wireless or fido

i think for you ringtone, you should rename the title and artist to just "ringtone.m4a

i renamed them all to short format, and now it seems to work on most files under 35555 timing.

my plan is to buy from apple webstore and just get a sim from rogers.

besides unlocking is there any other things i should know about ?

um, all u should mainly do is just use either independence if you are using a mac, or touchfree/anysim if you are using a window platform..

should be jailbreak, unlock, activate, and then it should be all done.

if you are lazy, I can help you unlock you phone for $20 charge :D

IMO, CARNAVAL works better than touchfree. It also automatically fixes the 300MB free space problem as well.

I'm assuming you're getting it shipped to Point Roberts or something? Apple doesn't sell the iPhone to Canadian addresses online.
