How do I sync my contacts from Outlook?

It's in iTunes. In the Info tab, just select the proper settings for Outlook contacts sync.

If anybody has any cool customized themes and icons then please post them up

How do you guys put in custom icons? I'm looking to put in some lighter colored (almost transparent like) icons so my wallpaper stands out more.

Coating doesn't rub off...but then I have dry hands. :rofl:
You put them on via SFTP. Use WinSCP and log into the / folder. Under "Applications" are all the apps' folders. In them, they all have an "icon.png" file, or for some others, "icon*.png", like "icon-Camera.png" for the Camera icon (Camera and Photos are in the same app, MobileSlideshow). Just back up that original PNG and drag in your own (must be named the same). ModMyiPhone has tons to choose from.

i was wondering, what is summerboard? and can i remove it from my screen? same with the installer . can i delete the 2 using winSCP?

"Springboard" is the default launcher on the iPhone, basically the home screen. Summerboard is a 3rd-party launcher that extends Springboard so that you can have themes, a background image, and other stuff.

I don't think you can delete the two with WinSCP though, probably better to delete Summerboard first in Installer, then delete Installer from within Installer. I'm not sure why you would want to though.

also, i did the youtube process also with the files to lockdwn, but then i still get "need to go to itunes" for youtube????

lastly, is there a way to transfer my contacts from SIM stright to iphone?

Don't need to install "Launcher", "Summerboard" is enough. BSD...you need it. It's required by many programs.

I have no idea what you're referring to with YouTube, maybe somebody else on Windows can help? Or search. Answers are all out there...

No way to transfer SIM contacts to iPhone. It's been stated here before.

just use ibrickr to upload the mp3 directly onto the iphone ~ takes 10sec or less? depending on size of the file ~ but make sure it's in english ~ doesn't seem to like other characters

eddy89 ~ regarding ur youtube.. what firmware are you using? if you are still on 1.0.2 ~ then just restore it with itune then install apptapp activate with pacay and unlock again ~ that should get youtube to work ~

so hows the 1.1.1. update so far?

I'm using 1.1.1 , and no problems yet using the new apps, and the unlock process using touchfree was a breeze.

the only gay thing is with the ringtones, but then after you get the codes and have it in you desktop to use, is pretty stright forward with transfering the ringtone list via winscp.

Is 1.1.1 fully unlockable now then? Everything is usable, including phone functions?

Are we able to upgrade and unlock using Windows, or only on Mac's right now?

1.1.1 is fully unlockable and everything. I've got it working and set up with my old look (see above) and all. Ringtones are a pain in the ass now though. Before you just dragged an MP3 in to the right folder and it'll show up and play. Now you gotta do all this crap with playlist files and spoof files and even then the files aren't guaranteed to work. I want my damn "m-Flo loves Emi Hinouchi and Ryohei - Summer Time Love" back as a tone! Grrrrrrr....

Also, icons can't be re-arranged yet with Customize. Ah well.

You can activate/jailbreak/unlock it on Macs and PCs.
