Did you restart the phone after the "youtube mod"??

hey Ch28 ~ how did u get the wifi to stay on after doing the safari trick to turn wifi on with the activation screen in 1.1.1? i manage to turn it on.. but when i reset the iphone the wifi doesn't automatically connects

anyone else having a problem with reception. occasionally the reception will drop to one bar, and the call will drop. then it will come back in 20 or so seconds, and i'll be in the exact same location lol.

not muhc documentation of this problem,

running 1.0.2 and i know of one other guy with this problem.

If I ever decide to update to 1.11 after doing your method will it work? Stupid question I know.

Won't work, as you can't properly upgrade to 1.1.1 from an unlocked 1.0.2 phone yet. Need to wait for a stable "re-virginizer" that sets your 1.0.2 to a stock, locked version before updating to 1.1.1. THEN and only then can you use that method to unlock your newly-virgin 1.1.1 phone.

Speaking of 1.1.1, does anyone here actually have a fully unlocked 1.1.1 iPhone and they won't mind meeting up for a quick test of some dock connector line-out accessories? I bought them on eBay a while back and they won't work on my 1.0.2 iPhone, but they work fine on iPods. 1.1.1 supposedly adds support for some more dock connector accessories, but if it doesn't work on that either, then I'm putting them up for sale for somebody with an iPod to use.

Uh, do you have a 1.0.2 unit right now? Cuz if you do, DON'T UPGRADE TO 1.1.1. A proper and guaranteed upgrade to 1.1.1 doesn't yet exist.

oh the reviginizer works no problem ~ i've been upgrading and downgrading a lot lol ~ i've went from the 3.14.08g baseband to 4.01.13g baseband back to virgin 3.14.08g baseband to hacked 3.14.08g about 10times now ~ i got past jailbreaking the 1.1.1 except i think the jailbreak process messed up on me.. coz everytime i try to go into anything it'll just pop me to the standby screen ~ so rite now i'm back down to 1.0.2 unlocked ~ going to try again tonite

probably the best bet rite now is the ipsf paid method

I dont have mine yet. Im going to be sent a sealed 1.11 from a friend in Dallas. I just wanted to know the best way to do it for now and in the future. Thanks Terkan, but Im trying to do it for free haha.

ch28 - any problem yet with your iphone and youtube problem? It seems with touchfree, the guy who posted the tutorial also posted a solution for youtube...

The method I used doesn't let me use YouTube...I don't know why cause I followed the guide and used PACAY

what does it say in youtube? does it load the page to select the video and doesn't play the clips?

right now i revirgined my phone to 1.0.2 upgraded to 1.1.1 jailbreaked with touchfree ~ now in the process of unlocking it ~ hopefully if all goes well this time i'll have an unlocked 1.1.1

I turn on my Wifi and click on the YouTube button. YouTube will load and then I get a small window that says "Cannot connect to YouTube" and I have to click on the ok button.

My wifi works because I browse the internet at home with it so a wifi connection problem shouldn't be the cause for this.

I did the PACAY thing and let it finish. I rebooted the phone when it was done.

it'll take like 20-30mins to do ~ i unlocked and relocked so many times but all the time youtube works

ok i can confirmed the reviginizer and unlock works for 1.1.1~ now i only need to unlock youtube ^^

this whole revirgin and upgrade thing is so complicated with million of method floating around... i guess i'll stick for 1.02 for a while untill sumone comes up with a fool and idoit proof method and tutorial.


btw i jsut receive my black case from ebay. the same on kardboard has its nice but after a few time opening it and cleaning it it no longer fit perfectly. the top part can be slide around if i apply sum pressure to it (putting it in my pocket). hopefully it wont scatch the fone....

^ the method i use really isn't that hard to do.. it's just time consuming ~ took me about 2hrs to do ~ but then i was multitasking.. probably only takes 1hr-1.5hrs to do if i set my mine to it


there's another way you could unlock youtube ~ connect to ur phone thru winscp and replace the 3 lockdown files ~ you can backup the originals first if u want

the files are in /private/var/root/library/lockdownd

i bought the iskin revo for the case ~ it's a good case ~ pretty good build quality ~ i accidently dropped the phone once and it hasn't made a scratch nor dent ~ comes with privacy shield screen protector ~ and also another hard cover for when you are not using the phone ~

fuck...my iphone froze just now and whenever I turn it on all I get is the Apple logo and that's it

[edit] nm...i held down the power + home button and let it reset...it took a good while for the phone to boot up after the apple logo showed up

yeah, that happens when you fuck up a minor file.

anyone bought the OEM backplate for the iphone? they have it in black, grey, and the original silver ~ i guess black wouldn't look too bad on it ~ although it cost about 40bux ~

so what was suppose to be different on the 1.1.1? other then the itune store and the speaker seems a little louder ~ there ain't much difference

i suggest you to reflash ur phone then.. since your phone froze on you before ~ might have something buggy in ur firmware ~ since you are using 1.0.2 with 3.14.08_G baseband all you have to do is restore it in itune with the 1.0.2 restore file and then install appinstaller run the pacay then iunlock or anysim whichever you want to use.. that's like a 10min process
