But in all honesty I could care less these days | What you're saying makes sense. I mean, in hindsight, economically it would be a stupid move for someone to buy the SGS2 outright and then go off and sell your SGS2 for $200 less and buy the Nexus outright.
Which is why I made my move when I did, I sold my SGS2 for a little more than I got it for and added another $20 to get the Nexus. People here criticized that move too.
But you definitely and clearly stated that you wouldn't buy the Nexus because of the fact that everyone else has bought it and didn't mention anything about waiting for something better or saving money; which to me seems like a legitimate reason to not buy a phone rather than saying "everyone else has it."

I do sometimes think about picking up the SGS2 in White because the phone was a very solid phone. It had an amazing battery life, vivid and clear screen and the finishing was nice on it. The Nexus could've benefited from some chrome/metallic accenting like the one around the SGS2 home button.
Also, the widgets that came pre-loaded with Touch Wiz 4 (AccuWeather, Email, Calender, Clock/World Clock) are the highest quality of widgets. You can't get those in any other phone (probably won't get them again until Touch Wiz 5 comes out).
One thing that I definitely do like in the Nexus is that they have a notification LED and that it's fully customizable out of the box. |
