Anyone tried RevoHD V6 yet? Still running V4 and wondering if it's worth doing a full wipe

I was wondering the same thing too.. But i thought that with Checkrom you don't have to do a full wipe?

Well you dont HAVE to, but they recommend doing a full wipe to ensure everything goes smoothly. Unless that's only if you're coming from a different rom?

Usually only coming from a different ROM is when you need to do a full wipe. If you're upgrading from existing it's usually ok unless there's some massive changes.

Does a Bell model require its own rom, or can you install any custom rom on it? Also, what's a good stock like rom that would be easy for a friend to install on her own?

I just switched today. So far i can't tell if anythings better or not in terms of battery life.. etc but i can say i do like the new dialer interface a lot more.

Not sure if you're interested, but try installing the ICS domination theme that Vertumus has built on XDA. Amazing theme. I think he released a version for V6 as well just this past week or so

You can install any custom rom on it.

I just started reading about it today as well. Seems like a pretty complete ICS theme that you install on top of CheckROM V6.

Its pretty sick.. im really liking it. Although there is some text that is in black with a black background so that can be kind of annoying.

Otherwise, the ICS theme is really complete.

so it says install universal 2.0.3 then reboot then install v6 ics domination

check v6 + ics dom theme + kg2 modem makes the i9100m the shiz

right now im using the one that comes with v6.. but i'll probably go back to speedmod as it regularly gave me 24hrs of battery life with normal usage.. this one im only getting about 16-18 hrs

So i'm assuming CF Root 5.0? You should give siyah a try as well. I've been getting over 24 hours with "normal use" as well.

i was on siyah for a while and wasn't overly impressed with it. i went from that to speedmod k-19 which i was happy with until i installed check v6. i'm thinking i might try out neak.. which apparently is speedmod with some undervolting or something?..

did like the kernel v6 came with so im on siyah now but might give redpill a try

im on revo hd 6 from revo hd 4. i didnt do a wipe just backed it up and everything went fine.

i also went to the latest darkknight kernal and now my battery is so lame

the ics isnt to bad nothing really exciting about it

i upgraded to checkrom v6 but jkay deluxe doesnt update properly...
from what i read you need to uninstall the older jkay deluxe program before updating and the only way to do that is to do a wipe?
