Battery life is OK.
I wouldn't say it's on par with the 2.3.6 kk5 rom i was running previously, but it'll last me the day and once I figure out if there are any more partial wakelocks eating up the battery it'll probably improve. I'm sure there are still bugs to work out too since it's still an experimental build. Also hard to tell right now because I keep fiddling around with it haha

Does anyone have any experience with figuring out how to get rid of "RILJ" as a wakelock? Pretty annoying.

Check your call settings. You probably have in call notifications set to on/play sound

Samsung Galaxy S II gets leaked ICS ROM

Today SamMobile leaked two new firmwares of ICS for our Galaxy S II, XXKP4 with 4.0.1 and XXKP8 with 4.0.3. SamMobile says the best one is the XXKP8 with 4.0.3. Both firmwares have their kernel signed so they wont update your download count.

I never actually checked out the youtube clip of the XXKP8 rom from samsung in action until now....They really butchered the beauty of ICS.

From what I've read, this leak is pretty much fully functional but is buggy and many people have random restarts with it. So stick with the official 2.3 Roms for now if you're an Android noob.

When you're using leaked, unofficial roms with a software (Touch Wiz 4) that has been made and optimized for Gingerbread, what are the real benefits of having ICS? Going through those videos, I can barely notice any changes between a stock SGS2 and one that has ICS. Apart from the fact that it says in the About Menu that it's running 4.0.1, the new browser and a few tweaks in settings, it really looks the same as a stock SGS2.

Yeah, Touchwiz 4 has really gotta go. It was necessary for gingerbread because the stock UI just wasn't very appealing. But for ICS, they need something new or just use the stock look which is 100% better than this.

for PAID version:

start up Ti
hit menu
hit batch
scroll down to restore
pick whichever applies to you EG: restore all apps with data. hit run
hit run batch operation

sitback and wait 10 minutes.

for free version is same but you have to do each app restore individually, by hitting backup/restore at top and selecting item you want to restore.

When i first got my phone, i was a bit skeptical about all this as well. However the steps provided are very simple and easy to walkthrough. Once you get the hang of this, it becomes very easy for the future. Wont take more than 20 minutes.
