CM9 now good for daily use. Even before the NITZ fix, everything was fine for me. New kernel released. |

It says it's not stable cause of the video playback and youtube. Everything is fine for me. [ROM][IML74K][4.0.3] CyanogenMod 9 experimental Build [UNSTABLE][12-31-2011] - xda-developers |

I'll bet they'll release a stable version within a week or so |
I'm using the latest cm9 now. Seems to be working pretty good. The proximity sensors are still kind of weird and occasionally don't blank off the screen properly. Vibrate also gets messed up but can be temporarily fixed by long-pressing the power button. Battery drain is still fairly high but I read it can be decreased by manually closing the Media processes. Anyone dare to try the 'official' Samsung XXKP8 leak which is a bastardized touchwiz version of ics: New Leaked XXKP4 (4.0.1) & XXKP8 (4.0.3) | Images | Videos | Download | More Details - xda-developers |

No I'm keeping the s2. I'm just wondering the real benefits of checkrom (which I've downloaded and had ready to flash but am second guessing because the phone has already exceeded my expectations and more wondering if there's a real benefit to the speed/battery life of check. Posted via RS Mobile |
I'm trying to flash checkrom onto my SGS2 but when I try to install the ROM in rom manager it brings me to the blue recovery screen not the orange CWM one. What am I doing wrong? I already flashed CWM Recovery for SGS2 |
I think Rom Manager is different from CWM. Try flashing it thru CWM by pressing home button, power, and volume down. |

But there seem to be a few bugs still Posted via RS Mobile |
hey guys, still having problem with my CWM Recovery v5.0.2.7 (blue coloured version) as I want to backup my stuff. states "cant mount backup path". can anyone help me out? thanks again. |
I'm starting to think undervolting doesn't do anything. I'm getting awesome battery life on checkrom right now. Been web browsing, Facebook, youtubing and some whatsapp today so far and still have 69% at 14 hrs on the battery Posted via RS Mobile |

Anyway on checkrom to disable the incrementing ringer? its kind of annoying EDIT: Nvm found it.. didnt know how to work the kitchenapp.. |
If anyone is running the latest cm9 (Build 01022012-2), if you have the problem with AudioOut_1 partial wakelock eating your battery up all the time, go to System Settings --> Sound --> Touch sounds and uncheck that. That solved it for me. Apparently even Galaxy Nexus has this as a partial wakelock eating up battery. The newest build also uses proprietary sensor code which fixes the accelerometer sensor and the phone can flip from portrait to landscape mode very quickly as before. Proximity sensor also improved and is not finicky anymore. edit: This thing is awesome for a daily rom even right now. Only things that are still not working are: video camera mode, playback of videos (YouTube and your own movies due to lack of codecs), vibration decreasing a lot once phone enters sleep (can be resolved by long-pressing the home button), and the pain in the ass MTP file transfer mode instead of USB mounting but that is the case with the Nexus as well. |
When those are fixed ill probably switch over. how's your battery life once you disabled the touch sounds? Posted via RS Mobile |
