damn..i'm getting serious wakelock issues/high CPU usage with bigxie's JRO03C

My phone has been running hot since I woke up and now my battery is dead..lol (5hrs)

A ton of my apps in the battery screen are showing wakelocks for 30min+....so weird how all my apps have been keeping my device awake

Install betterbatterystats and try to figure out whats causing it. So far my battery life is pretty much on par with ics and 4.1 jb

Are you using his 4.1.1 OTA or AOSP build?

I'm on his OTA with franco r216 and it seems fine.

I'm running franco 217, I like how snappy it's made JB. Anyone able to recommend a 4.1.1 that's compatible? Or a place I can find a stock kernel for a 4.1.1

You can re-flash the rom again to get back the stock kernel.
Or you can re-package your own by taking the boot.img from the stock rom and replacing the boot.img in the zip file of franco's kernel if you're lazy.

If you're already on 4.1 just flash over top and wipe cache and dalvik cache. Good to go.

I'm using bigxie's ota build. It's just the stock nexus ota that's been deodexed, rooted, and supersu added. Same one eclypz linked.

never done a major update via OTA so jsut curious but i'll back up just in case anyways.

Graeme S 07-11-2012 11:26 PM

now on 4.1.1 with Linaro 217, and it seems like the keyboard lag from before is now gone! Might show up again, but for now...good to go.

Tim Budong 07-12-2012 12:00 AM

^ i have you your 1000th thanks

Meowjin 07-12-2012 01:18 AM

If you're updating via OTA it should be pretty straight forward. The phone will just download the update and flash it while preserving all data.

I hate that keyboard lag. I'm getting really bad lag with Swiftkey 3 occasionally using both stock kernel and franco 217. Sometimes it's worse than others. Did you used to have problems with it not registering key inputs when typing fast before switching to Linaro?

Even after switching to Linaro on 4.1.0 I had some hiccoughs. Now that I'm running 4.1.1 with Linaro, it seems to be good so far. No absolute promises though.

Alatar 07-12-2012 05:37 PM

Got my OTA update stock 4.1.1 today. Notification dropdown is... not so appealing. Most other aspects of the phone are nice though. Keyboard looks better, things seem more fluid.
