Question to all the lifting gurus. I have been having problems with squat depth, especially in regards to 'butt wink'. I have been stretching tons, but still there, and it puts strain and pain overall on my lo-back. Found the Squat-rx youtube page, and have been trying some of their suggestions. I was trying the wall squats today, and I think I found what I need to work on. At about halfway down, my lower to mid back feels like it binds and bunches and stops me from going any lower without pitching face into the wall.

Now that I have discovered a possible problem area of overaly tight mid to low back, what can I do to start remedying it?

foam roll under the lumbar spine for release of the muscles, which will cover a large surface area

lacrosse ball/tennis ball roll to target the spinae erectors, which will be alot more concentrated

do these things, and do them like you mean it, go to town with it, and trust me, you will face that squat rack like a changed man

The heights u can determine there. Everyone takes a turn texting out the heights in the warmup area.
The waves are by weight classes in ascending order. And females go first. Louie69 and myself will be there if you need a hand

from what ive seen with some people with back pain from squats, is that you're either leaning too far forward or backwards while squatting, which adds unnecessary stress on the spine. if you film it from the side you can probably fix your form
