I always tell people who you are in the gym reflects every aspect of your life. The gym benefits no one but you. If you can't put the phone down for 90 minutes and work your ass off, I can bet every other aspect of your life sucks too, because you lack determination and focus. There's always gonna be shit that gets in the way of your goals, always. The real deciding factor is whether or not you choose to man up, face the challenge, or pussy out and rationalize your failures and make excuses.

I've given up and it feels like shit. I find myself picking up the pieces and starting from scratch more times than I can count, but everytime I start again I get further, I get better, and i get closer to my goals.

The best motivation is when I come in here and I see xplicit luder who was benching way under 200lbs a few weeks ago, now he's getting close to my PR, that motivates me. I see berz, the same guy who I told myself I was gonna match one day in DL-ing, is deadlifting 5 plates now, that motivates me. I never look down on others achievements 'cause everyone's got their own everest, but seeing their progress is a big motivation. We're all human, made of the same shit, if they can do it I should be able to too.

on another note .. low carb workouts fucking suck :okay:

:fuckyea: my niggaaa

so how do you guys build your rage?

I don't necessarily build any rage to work out...I think working out is just part of my life now. If I don't do any form of physical activity for a long period of time, I feel as though I'm missing something HUGE in my life. I think it's the fact that I NEVER want to go back to the way I was before that keeps me going...just thinking about that, I suppose, is what gives me the "rage" or the drive to kill my workout

Of course, having any form of angry rage helps a bit in killing the workout even more.

Got my gear that I ordered from Adidas yesterday...bought the powerlift trainers

They felt pretty good...actually felt myself a bit more stable when doing my squats. They were a bit stiff but I guess it's just a matter of breaking them in. My chucks were torn left and right so it was about time I got a new pair of shoes for lifting lol.

Berzerker 02-14-2012 12:15 PM

Jesus Christ what is this Creatine Sorcery. Benched 275 today on Decline. Then did 90lb DB's on incline after. Fuuuuuuckkkkk yoooouuuuuuuuu Valentines day!!!!!

Berz out.

jeffh 02-14-2012 12:39 PM

for me gym isnt my life

its just another area i need to excell in, if i pickup something new i need master it

it all started with playing the bagpipes, it all takes the same kind of focus.
Dominic Toretto said it best, "i live my life a 1/4 mile at a time"
be it a set on the pipes in front of a panel of judges and 300 people, or autocrossing at the nationals
that next big obstacle 4x4ing, or deadlifting a perfect set its all about being in that moment when you get tunnel vision and the only thing that matters is the task at hand

Do you have narrow feet? Whats the width like? I was looking at these before, but I have fat and short feet :okay:

neggo 02-14-2012 12:43 PM

My feet are actually quite wide but they felt fine and are more or less true to size. Pretty good purchase for $100...even better when they have promos going on too.

Berzerker, what creatine are you currently taking?

vafanculo 02-14-2012 01:06 PM

Due to an bit of a change I gotta start working out at my work gym. It has almost everything I need, minus a squat rack. I hate using the smith machine for squats.. Any alternatives?
