Visions had the deal where they also gave a free 100$ gift certificate for a new activation with bell. But it was friday only. |
just resigned for 3 years with robbers. got the S3 for $0 without even asking. ended up with the 6gb superplan. sucks that I'm paying the full price of $75 all in per month for a 3.5yr customer but I can always call in in the future btw, how long does it actually take for them to send you your phone? I was told 5 business days, but with so many getting the upgrade, i'm kinda iffy  |
what kinda plan do you have? cuz im currently being raped $47 per month on robbers with just voice, text, caller id, NO DATA. I'm planning to switch to BELL. cuz $65 + tax, so $73 all in 550min out call, unlimited incoming, unlimited bell 2 bell, 6pm-7am weekday, unlimited weekend 6 gb LTE unlimited text caller id voice mail + $400 credit if I sign 3 years and get a note 2 for $200 no access fee BS |

Don't mind the 0.75 for "wireless usage", I sent a few texts while in the states. $54 for this plan basically. So this proves that with Rogers, YMMV DRASTICALLY. |
how do you go about getting those credits when you call in? |
I've been trying to get discount on my 6gb super plan. Rogers wont budge at all. |

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...Untitled-1.png I renewed for 3 years on that 1GB plan with the credits applied for the entire duration of the term in Nov 2011. I even got unlimited data for the first 3 months. I used like 13GB one month. LOL. In Aug 2012, the 6GB Super Plan came out and I called in to switch to that since it was the cheaper (no $2.35 govt fee) with 5GB more data that was also LTE compatible. My 1GB was not LTE compatible, as I was told. I fought hard for them to transfer the credits and 100 bonus mins over because the credits usually will fall off when you change plans. I asked to be transferred to retentions because my 1GB plan was offered by retentions. I called 3x and a very finally a very nice man did it for me, no questions asked. The first two rep wouldn't budge at all. They say things like "The credits were applied for the 1GB plan ONLY and cannot be transferred, blah blah blah". In any case, calling Rogers and getting a good rep is like playing poker, there's always the chance of a getting a royal flush, but will you get it? |

Got good success today on Robbers HUP. Background: - 6 Year Customer - On a grandfathered blackberry plan on old torch - Completed 22/36 months - Monthly plan is $55.xx including 250 daytime, unl EV/WE, unl rogers, unl incoming, VM, CID, 10,000 Txt, 500 MB Data. (Also had to pay the bullshit $6.95 system access fee and $0.75 911 fee). This plan was awesome when it renewed in 2010. - Monthly credits were $30 per month. The Process: - Wanted SG3 for $0 on 3 year renewal with early upgrade fees waived and better plan while paying the same. - 1st phone call went to HUP department, mentioned what I wanted. Girl on the phone wanted me to pay $100 for early upgrade fee but would give the phone for free. Mentioned to call retentions department instead to see if they can do better - 2nd phone call to retentions department. Girl on the phone was really nice. Offered SG3 for $0 device and $0 for early upgrade fee. The $0 phone and $0 early upgrade fee would be credited on the account in the monthly bill and we would have to do the MIR thing on the rogers website. Ended up with this plan: - Unlimited local calling, text - 1 GB LTE Data - VM, CID For $50 plus tax a month. Took this plan and ran with it. I asked what the credits I was getting and she mentioned it was about $22 per month ($15 on the voice, data and $7 on the vm/cid which made it free). This plan btw is their current new plan on rogers website. If you wanted more data (up to 3gig) the monthly plan would be $60 per month (if you were able to get it on retentions) My tips for success - YMMV for the person you get on the phone. Remember to be as nice as possible. Don't be condescending, rude, raise your voice and always say thanks for the help. The reps on the phone are doing YOU the favour and setting you up with a good plan - remember this!!! - If the offer isn't good the first time, tell them you'll think about it and call back a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time and see if it can get any better. MOST IMPORTANT TIP - Don't ask for something that can't be done. -You gotta understand the rules of the game and negotiate a common ground to what you want and to what Rogers can offer you Like OMG I want unlimited calling to Canada, US, 6 GB data, VM, CID, unlimited international txt all for $50. Rogers won't do it for you, you need to be able to build your plan to what you think is important. In my case I really wanted the unlimited calling but was able to sacrifice on the amount of data that was received in the plan. 6 gb of data is nice but I factored in that I could use wifi pretty much at home, school when you are out and 1gb of data is sufficient if you are not hardcore streaming and watch what you do. |

I just called in for my friends' plan Unlimited minutes Unlimited text/picture messages 1 Gb Data 200 minutes long distance Voicemail Caller ID $56 taxes included. |
Because of the Virgin/Koodo/Fido plans being rolled out now, you guys should be able to get a similar deal. I think it's like Unlimited canada wide+text 2 gb data (upped from 1 gb) $57 (fido) Pretty good imo. I think some Telus dealers can get you the $60 plan which includes 500 min 10 fav numbers ultd msging 5gb caller id Good luck Robber dealers! |
dafuq $50 for 6GB plan |
I only just found out my work as a cooperate plan after 4 years. Even on our intranet under deals it wasn't listed as a perk but now that I've found it $50 for 6gb plan here i come! |
ok so im on the phone, just hung up and basically I'm telling I want to cancel 2 lines out of 3 of my account which none of has contract for many years. they offered $60 super plan 200 min day, 6 pm unlimited evening, weeknd 6gb data lte my 10 unlimited text BUT I have to pay for caller ID and VM package = $7 so total is $67 plus tax another was $75 unlimited local calling 3 gb data lte? text my 10 add voice M and caller ID for $7 BUT they can give me $15 credit per month so basically it still costs $67 per month and these were the best offer I got considering I also told them I might switch to bell. :okay: what do you guys think? I think il be going to bell today |
Update: Looking into my account after the HUP, turns out I can claim the usual $50 upgrade credit as well. So it works out to $89 - $50 credit - $50 gift card, no upgrade fees. Hot deal! Now to decide whether to keep the S3 or sell and replace with Nexus 4. Quote:

^^ thats very cheap is your plan super old? but anyways im with bell now and waiting for my number to be ported :accepted: |
It should be considering he has a System Access Fee and the $10 VP. Those are longggg goneeeeee. |
I've had that plan since I signed my last contract. So almost 3 years back. Posted via RS Mobile |
Regular charges Ending Nov 15 Wireless usage $0.75 Nov 16 - Dec 15 6GB Super Plan* $60.00 Savings: Monthly Service Fee $-10.00 iPhone VP w/100 US & Intl Text* $12.79 Rogers One Number $0.00 LTE 6GB Data Service Plan $0.00 6pm Early Evening Calling $0.00 Call Forwarding/Call Transfer $0.00 Other charges and credits Nov 02 Credit: Hardware Upgrade Charge $-50.00 Total before taxes: $13.54 HST (862395381 RT0001) $7.62 Total for Wireless: $21.16 not bad, probably gonna get rid of voicemail and the international text stuff |
How lenient are they in offering a good retention plan (wanting to add data to 1 of my lines) without resigning a contract? I've resigned contracts every time I change phones so it just seems like I'm indefinitely tied to rogers :okay: |

1 gb should be fairly easy.. just call a couple times as it usually takes 3-5 tries.. |
