I've also found it's kind of a motherfucker to completely renegotiate if you're already on a killer retentions plan. I should have done my data through retentions, but sadly I didn't so I'm paying more than I want to.

In the two calls I've made, I've sadly been rebuffed saying essentially "we can't give you any more discounts" and if I asked to remove some of the options (and direct credits) that I don't use (unltd incoming/R2R), they tell me "well you're getting them for free anyways".


If I cancel those options and wait a month or so and try calling in again, think I'd get a better deal?

Just got my Rogers bill and they totally messed up but in my favor!! I was suppose to get a 3 month credit for $15 but they made it 3 years instead! Usually I have to call back to fix their mistakes but its nice to have good karma for once lol. I just renegotiated my contact in september.

Man...I hope I dont have to call into Rogers again so they don't catch this mess up.

My plan now is: 300 daytime min, unlimited e/w 5-7, unlimited incoming calls, unlimited network calls, cid/vm/2500 text, 6 GB data

Total is $22.50 + GRRF + taxes

Anyone know if mms is included in $10 value pack or is there a app for IP4 where i can send/receive picture and video msgs for free?

My plan was suppose to be 37.50 + GRRF + taxes plus they made a $15 discount for the entire 3 years of my contract which makes it $22.50.

I had to fight my way to even get my plan to $37.50 so this is like icing on the cake!!

Wow even 37.50 for that plan is virtually unbeatable. 22.50 for all that instead is plain robbery. Grats on a sick plan dude.

Update on this: I didn't need mobile internet anymore, so I sold my retention plan on kijiji for $50 and had the account/contract transferred to a happy buyer.

I still have the 2 rocket sticks and a netbook they gave me...threw those up on Kijiji as well :D

has anyone negotiated using wind mobile plans? Curious about the results.
$35 unlimited province wide calling. Unlimited wind to wind Canada wide.
I noticed they only charge $20 for 500mb data and $35 unlimited data.

Did it for the plan I negotiated for someone else.

They had an unlimited local calling not sure if it was all of BC but certainly unlimited anytime for $35...

But in terms of data, there hasn't really been anything like that..

If you're going to negotiate using Wind's Student Plan, better do it soon as it is only valid till Oct 31st.

Pretty good comparison tool but rogers will just counter with that $35 plan and probably give you promos like unlimited network, 100 long distance, etc...

The more I think about it, the less I think I'll actually need data. It isn't like I'm working in the business world where every e-mail to me has a deadline and I'm around enough places during the day in order for me to check on things.

Not to mention the places I'm normally at have WiFi so all in all, I don't see myself getting data until they change up the pricing for it. I do have on account that they're going to give me at least $5 off whatever data I might get.
