it looks like the 6gb is back |
Source? Posted via RS Mobile |
saw this over at hofo this morning http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...-my-Rogers.com |
It isn't there. |
damn^ |
A few people got it on RFD. |
Is there still a direct number to retentions? The number that was posted earlier in this thread doesn't seem to work anymore. |
^ No. They removed it, most likely because people were not supposed to have access to it in the first place, well, not out in the public like rfd/hofo. |
They shipped my iphone. Free 700 for me. kinda. |
who is 1 866 665 5623, they keep calling trying to get me to renew my contract, and i asked them and they said they arent rogers..... its annoying me now cause i was talking to them about what a previous guy was offering me and the guy just hung up on me... |

I don't know who they are or what they're trying to do... but just be careful when you get phone calls like that. |
$17.50 voiceplan 200 daytime minutes + 100 bonus minutes Unlimited evening/weekends from 6pm Unlimited Incoming ($10) 2500 texts, CID, voicemail ($10) 1GB data ($20) GRRF ($2.43) Total - $59.93 + HST = $67.12 I tried asking for a $15 credit on the data but i could only get $10. Apparently they're limited to how much credit they can give now after the iPhone release period. The person says this is the best she can give me and even if she tried to give me more credit the system wouldn't allow her. Any chance I can get a better deal? I got this plan yesterday and I'm put on a new 3 year contract so i think it's a slim chance, but I've been a customer for 5 years. |

6gb data ($20) unlimited network ($0) unlimited incoming ($0) I've been a customer for 3 years, hope that helps. |
So my new plan is $35 Unlimited Local $10 Value Pack (CID/VM/2500SMS) $30 6GB BIS Data $2.43 Whatever Fee -$15 data discount. $62.43 + tax Ideally I'd like another $10 discount to match my voice plan to Mobilicity haha. |
Hey guys, would really appreciate some help with my current situation. I have never dealt with retentions before, and am not sure if I even have any leverage to gain a better plan, but I want to try. Some background information: 1.) Been a Rogers customer for over 3 years 2.) My mom just renewed our contract a few months ago for 3 more years (>.<), they all got new phones, I didn't get one 3.) Current plan is around 30$ with unlimited incoming, 200 minutes, voicemail/caller ID, and 1000 texts 4.) My goal is to order an I4, and get a cheap data plan bundled with it Thing is, I just tried calling retentions and it ended pretty badly. The lady on the phone was nice enough, but even though I said I wanted to cancel my plan, the only thing that happened was an awkward pause, and I finally said, "How much would it cost for me to cancel?" She quoted me around 400$.... Then another awkward pause, which I then asked "Am I still eligible for a hardware upgrade with the 3 year plan my parents extended? After like 5 minutes, she said "yes." At this point, I repeat that I want to cancel my plan, and she still doesn't send me to retentions, but only repeats "Okay, but it will be 400$.... etc." I think shes calling my bluff since she knows that I just renewed my plan and ON TOP of that still have an opportunity to get a new phone for my three year contract. Is there any way I can gain some leverage to get a better plan in this case? My friend said: i think u can call them say u didnt know and that u JUST signed a contract but want an ipone plan now im prretty damn sure they'll do it for u cuz youre gonna b paying more for data What are your thoughts? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am in dire need of a new phone since my old iphone is nearly completely broken and it is nearly unusable!\ Thanks a lot in advance, hope to hear from you soon! |
You lost all leverage after just signing a new contract. You can get a new iphone since you didn't use your HUP but will need to add data to your contract. |
fuck i just renewed my contract couple months ago too....so i prolly cant get retentions deals can i? |
^doesn't hurt to ask. |

I'm in the exact same situation, and right now my plan is around 30$ and I never go over anything, have plenty of texts, caller ID, voicemail, etc. Is there anyway to call Rogers and get to retentions? I've tried calling a few times and whenever I mention cancelling my plan, they just never put me through to them. I am also thinking about getting an I4, but doubling the cost of my plan for 500mb of data is obscene. |
Don't think this deserves it's own thread but I might move from Fido to Rogers (no cancellation fee) but does the $40 unlimited social networking plan with a BB include BBM? I'm pretty sure it does but just want to make sure before I make the jump |
Someone who's plan is coming up needs to use Mobilicity's grand opening deal as a bargaining chip to renew their plan. I really want to know how rogers is dealing with this. |

Another "method" that helps out. So AFAIK i was supposed to get early 6pm free when i worked out a deal with retentions last month. I look at the bill and i got charged for it. So i call back, and i speak to retentions and say i was told it would be free but its not. He looks over my notes from wayback a month (they keep it on record 4ever i guess?) and he says he counldnt find anything about free 6pm but he will take my word for it and give it to me. Im sure people can use this method even though they are not entitled to a free option. An ass move? yes but its fucking rogers.... look at wind and mobilicity, dont even have to negotiate to get everything for > 50$. lol To use this, you should already have a retentions plan and have changed the plan recently with an option that is known to be given free often. (ie/ netwrk to netwrk, free incoming, early evening, etc) I Shouldve lied about how i was supposed to get a 5$ DC on my 6gb dataplan. lol |
17.50 200mins 6pm either rogers/incoming $10 more call display/voicemail/2500 text/unlimited to recieve. 5 dollar data credit. Data: 500mb. before Tax 49.63. I was offered this.. any good? |
