and for those who have 1yr or less on a 3 year contract Rogers will wave the full upgrade fee if you say you are moving to Bell since you are allowed to upgrade for for just the cost of the phone every two years. At first they cut it in half and I said no point Bell does it for free and they came back and said they would wave the full fee. |

finally got my s3 today at the store. i called customer relation first to cancel my order that was suppose to be shipped. the lady said that they will automatically waive off the early upgrade on my next bill even if i pay for it at the store. went to the store to get my upgrade and surprisingly, the phone came up to $69.99 + no admin fee + $26 early upgrade (will be waive if the lady is telling the truth). total was $107. the guy was like, wtf, that's the cheapest i've seen s3 go for. on top of that, they gave me a $50 mail in coupon. i wonder if it will work if they know i already got a deal. funny thing is there was another customer beside me and the teller gave her the s3 for $99.99 + admin fee + early upgrade. |

Hey guys, wanted to get some advice. I am about to lock up with rogers(currently month to month) was wondering if you guys have been able to get a better plan than what I currently have and for a better deal? Unlimited talk text 6GB data Iphone value pack Currently paying $80 plus taxes, I do have a $10 data discount however it is expiring one year from know. I have tried asking them to extend the discount for the balance of my new 3 yr contract but they won't budge. They aren't willing to give me anything! lol Thanks |
You could probably get the same thing with better call feature from bell or telus for under $65, plus a new phone.. $80 plus tax is pretty high. Dont get locked in unless you have something better |

You honestly shouldn't pay more than 65/mth for that. Especially if you are gonna renew. Start mentioning Bell or TELUS, and if played right, the retentions rep should retain you. Posted via RS Mobile |

There's that super 6gb plan that has 200 min with fav 10 numbers nationwide. $60 and retentions will give a $10 credit. I can vouch for this one. Shitty part being u have to pay for caller Id and voicemail.... They gave me some horseshit about only being able to have one credit of max $10 worth on the account at any time. Is this true? Damn Rogers.. Trying to deal for my bro right now and it's frustrating.. My Telus line has that $50 plan with 500 min and 5gb.. With my 10, msging, free caller id.... The whole schbang. What are some retentions plans people got recently? |

sorry what do you mean for the cost of the phone? say iphone 5 costs $699 so you would pay $699 for it every 2 years to do a hardware upgrade? that doesnt make any sense or im guessing you are referring say 3 years iphone 5 costs $199, u would just pay that $199 with additional 3 years term but no other hidden/penalty fee? |

The best offers I came across were from Wind and Mobilicity, however I don't think I'm willing to compromise with poor reception. Fido has an unlimited plan but it costs more than what I'm paying now....$91+taxes, and it only included 1 GB of data. If you know of any special offers, please let me know by posting here or PM. Thanks everyone for your replies! |

Do u need unlimited? Unlimited is a marketing term to sweeten the deal, but some times you never even break 400 min daytime use and never goes over 2000 sent texts. Most people needs unlimited incoming or unlimited evening and weekends as a must have. I agree unless u are a business user, u shouldn't be paying 80+$ Up to you, be careful with " unlimited" marketing term. It's like a 80$ all you can eat vs 3 courses at the keg plus a glass of wine for $65. Both gets you happy. Wind and mobilicity is no go, but look at your usage, pick a plan, don't get raped or pay for something you don't need. Ps, rogers had a 60$ super plan before, look that up, get retention to get you discount or more feature at the price |

So what you're saying is.. if I go through retention and tell them that I'd switch to Bell, Bell would give me $200 for Port in and I'd only have to pay $179 for 16GB iPhone to sign a new 3 year contract with Bell? and in turn, Rogers would just waive the hardware upgrade fee and sign a new 3 year contract? Please lemme know if this is what you're saying.. thanks. |
^ ya but in that case rogers will tell you will have $200 dollar penalty for early cancellation |
I think the $200 port in credit is a promo from Bell to encourage customers to switch.. you can use that $200 to pay off the Early Cancellation Fee.. actually I don't know what exactly Bell is offering so that ppl are able to get the hardware upgrade fee waived.. needs some more clarification.. |
Be sure to find out if that $200 port in credit from Bell is a one time deal (unlikely) or if it's $200 spread out over 20 months @ $10/mo which is more likely. |
Paying full fee for iPhone 5 and ditching Robbers or staying when contract ends in 1yr vs. Getting a HUP for $200 approx that I can afford and be stuck with Robbers. :considered: |

just off the phone with retentions and the agent said they came out today with a new incentive for those upgrading to the iphone 5. any customer who has an early upgrade fee of $100 or less will get that fee waived if they upgrade to the iphone 5 only, no other phones. |
