also, this is my retentions plan im getting as well

200 daytime mins
unlimited incoming calls
unlimited canada wide network calling
early eve/wknds at 5 pm
unlimited international texting
iphone value pack(caller id, visual voicemail)
6gb data (auto switch to LTE)

$50.02 plus tax

I didn't. Spoke to some guy in Chat. I'm really not surprised though as I've spoken to 2 chat reps, 2 front line CSR's on the phone + 1 retention rep in the past 3 weeks and every time I asked some same questions and have gotten 3 different answers to some of my questions.

I love their consistency!

I've been talkin to retentions for te last 4 days straight. I do have the direct line that was given to me by a manager that gets me through to them right away. Just called them again to inquire bout this incentive and it is 100% true

Lol like i said, their customer service is a joke. Constantly getting different answers is retarded.

ive had wicked retentions plans throughout the last 5-6 years and this was just something i was able to work out with the last retentions agent, stephanie. she was super friendly, and generous.

you just have to be patient, know what you want and what other carriers are offering. you have to be persistant, yet not overly agressive. must be VERY polite and ive figured that you can usually get what you want (as long as it is reasonable) and if you dont, then tell them you will think about it and call back in a day or 2, but make sure you get an interaction id

just to back up the info i received, and somewhat contradict the retentions agent, i logged on to "myrogers" and checked my "upgrade eligibility" and checked every phone on the upgrade list. previous to today, it kept indicating that my early upgrade fee was $40. now it says "$0.00". just to be sure, i checked my gf's acct and she is still at $190.00 for her early upgrade fee.

so you guys may want to check out ur acct to see if they have waived your early upgrade fees ( as long as you were at under $100)

i cancelled my unlimted sms plan, saved about $10, i mostly use whatsapp now which uses data only.

any update on this? my Fido 3 year contract is ending on July 30th, 2013..

I talked to Retention and the best they can do is $80 for Early Cancellation. I can sign up a new 3 yr contract and use my Fido Dollars towards the iPhone 5.

I told them about Rogers waiving off the Early Hardware Upgrade fee (under $100) but Fido couldn't match it. :okay:

I think im happy with that!

Asked them to waive the $35 activation for me but they said they couldn't haha

I believe after a year with Fido, you can switch to rogers for free.

I could be wrong but I think they cancelled the whole Rogers pays/waives your early cancellation if you come from Fido thing a long time ago. I could be wrong though.

Just a heads up when you guys change your data plan make sure the person you are talking doesn't extend your data plan.

Call rogers today and see if I can weave the upgrade fee for a new phone (I have 11 months left on my contract). The guy said they can't so I ask them how long till my contract ends. Apparently My contract ends next year July But My data contract doesn't end till 2015 since I just change to the 6GB super plan last month @@ So who ever upgrade my data plan put a contract in place........

Whatever going to end my contract next July anyways. The rep said even at that point I have pay $200 to cancel the data plan contract.......

So if you are switching your data plan make sure they don't add that as a contract change......

Just called them too for my sisters plan, no budge.

They offered me the current $73 - $5 and free CID/VM comes to $67 for everything + tax. Not sure if it's worth it

They shouldn't be able to charge you the data cancellation. After 11 months you owe no hardware since you didn't get a new phone on the superplan so they cannot charge you anything other than the service fee which is like $12 or something.

I hear some ppl still getting the superplan -$10 but it's more rare now.

Hopefully coz the minute my plan is up I am going to another provider. I am not asking much but $300 to get a Samsung S3 with a year contract@@ are they out of their mind lol. Even if they lower it to $150 I would take the deal and stay with them.
